In TBC, I often saw female characters with no clothes asking for gold. One day, I was curious, and I also needed the gold, so I rolled a female blood elf mage, went S T R A I G H T to orgrimmar at lvl 1, removed all clothes and started dancing in front of high level players. Believe it or not, a bunch of them actually gave me gold. More than you’d expect. I prostituted in WoW to buy my lvl and 40 mount. Absolutely no shame.

It dissolved as two the other founding members turned on me. One guy liked me a lot and his best friend took his friend's interest in a lady-person as a threat to their friendship. The guy with a crush always follow his friend and so he would turn on me whenever his friend showed up. Crush guy wanted nude pics and for me to RP sex with his jaw-less Undead; when he was turned down he got resentful. It was insane. I JUST wanted to play WoW. The saddest part was before the voice chat revealed me we had so much fun together. I missed those days too.

Well i never played WoW, but played a lot of MMOs that were copies of WoW and honestly, be it guy or girl (Man or Woman) i personally didn't care. Had guild leaders that we're husband and wife and i had a blast playing with them. As i type this and think about it, i think my best memories we're playing with women cause they just wanted to play the game and not have all the drama that sometimes came with it. I could dig that. I didn't care much about politics, power and such things in game, the only things i cared about was having fun (its a game jeez) and respect which is earned not taken. Fantastic Log You didn't miss out on much, just painful grind, lag, two thirds of all class specs being broken and useless, the game itself shoehorning you into a very specific role, ludicrous bugs, bad itemization, painfully long leveling, annoying attunement chains for every single raid, new guys being shafted because guilds didn't want to go back to the previous tier of content just so the new guys could get attuned and geared, unstable servers, zero class balance, getting 39 monkeys together for a raid only for it to get cancelled because half of them didn't show or the servers just didnd't feel like it, gold seller spam and random bugs.

Elyseon your forgot the molten core runes wich were extremely annoying to do.....the freaking doggy trash that revives itself if you dont bring them all down together....all that time you had to invest to clear a raid. sometimes as long as some people work a day :"D. the bosses that were overtuned in many ways. bosses that randomly kill people and retards that ninja your raid. resistance gear for many bosses AND small bags........ugh it was hard times back then. and if you went to that nice battleground for some pvp experience there always was a ashkandi warrior that oneshotted your clothie face. and the really biggest and worst part : the dungeons and raids where without a map ! you had no clue where the quest had to be done if you didnt READ the quest text or where extra bosses in a raid where at. no go to this area but go to the west where that tree is then turn to there and youll find....people dont think often about it but back then finishing a quest could be something you could take some time for. unlike today where you head to that pos asap and finish your quest without ever reading a sentence but what you need to kill and gather in order to complete it.

They're talking about the Rare Elite mobs that drop nothing, their sole purpose is to have a long spawn timer and unique-ish appearance in order for them to be sought-after pets for Hunters. A prime example would be the various Rare Elite mobs introduced in Cataclysm.

back in vanilla...... and even now to a lesser degree..... people on wow don't believe i am male even with voice...... it annoyed my friends who were in the same room with me because the guild treated me like a girl despite trying to convince them im not.

I can make no more toons as I have maxed out the alt limit so I have all kinds of things to do. I have one server with every class at max level and a second with every class at 90-100, alliance and horde respectively (man I have no life...). As for my second account...

While it's true those guys are indeed annoying, it's something Blizzard specifically allows them to do. That's why the NPCs are killable. Can't really say they're being assholes when they're just doing something the game was designed around. They should make the NPCs untargetable for any player who is above a certain level.

all the information on all dungs and raids are in the Dungeon Journal. Take a few mins to read them for the dung you wanna do as it gives you a basic idea on what to expect.

In other words, this isn't a game so go do your damn homework before you go in and waste other people's time? This is the attitude I hate about WoW. It's a game guys. The dungeons and guilds I have had the most success with are the ones that help out their party / guild members. When I played years ago there used to be lots of chats, people took their time in dungeons and people would help out and make sure no one fell behind. Now days it seems most (not all) dungeons require you to already know all the ins and outs and the groups blaze through risking accidentally pulling mobs during big fights because they don't take a minute or two to clear out the area. I like the game changes they have made over the years - it is refreshing and fun, but the people who play seem uninterested in talking, coordinating, mentoring or doing anything but quick blasting through the dungeons for gear. Where's the fun in that?

Nah, to be honest, Horde players are more honest that Alliance players. Atleast from my experience. I've never been camped by a horde player while leveling, and I've played on a bunch of servers, some highly populated, some low populated. I've played since WoTLK, just to give you a perspective.

@Julia Aquina You do realize why that happens though, right? In a lot of cases it's not cause the tank is impatient. It's because of experience with impatient hunters, or whatever, but typically a hunter, who will pull if they think you're too slow. So generally tanks try to pull aggressively enough that nobody will become impatient, pull a whole bunch that you can't get aggro on in time, and cause a wipe. And while doing so, sometimes you missjudge the party. You might come from a run with practically MLG players, and so you pull a bit too much in the next run. It happens...

(ram4ix) Been playing since Vanilla and yeah they change it with every xpac (usually making it easier) :P It's good business sense, they only had 2% player base raiding end-end-game content 1.12 and now they get over 40%.I don't think it was what caused them to drop the player base though, it was the release of other MMO games, particularly F2P ones such as League and DotA2. Cata was sick when it was first about, the heroics were hard and it took me like 2 weeks before I could even raid (drop rates were disgusting) but then it sorta trailed off.. never played Pandaria when it was live but came back for Draenor and I don't think the raids were harder, I just think that the game has attracted an overall less skilled player base. I mean experiences will differ but this was defo my feeling for Draenor. In Vanilla/TBC the mechanics weren't that hard but if you failed them boy were you punished, which is a contrast to the new stuff cause they add loads of mechanics but they are fairly easy to bypass. I do think that mythic is a true challenge though, and although it's not quite the vanilla experience (which at times, for me, was ridiculous) it's definitely a nod in the right direction. Not even going to mention raiding in WotLK... dafuk was that blizz :P Thing that made me quit 3 months ago was how dead my server was.. sure they merged it with another (also dead) server but I don't want to have to pay £15 or w/e it is to swap my main over to an active server, be nice if they just sorted the player base out.. I'd defo come back and play if they did! :)

+Adrian de la Torre I'll keep playing it as long as the lore in each region is good. I stopped hardcore raiding after Cata and now I play for maybe grand total of 3 hours a week. There is quite a bit to do in-game and people still find it fun, so why not?

+iWaBa FET I don't ever recall WoW being "hard", arguably if you were able to get on level gear you were generally going to be ok unless you used a very unbalanced class (e.g. soloing Resto Shaman). Just RNG was generally against you and fights lasted longer with fewer rewards (which was nice because you learned your spells and a good rotation more naturally). Now you don't have to stress about grabbing one bear and pulling a second because either A) threat radius has been changed or B) you're not so squishy that a second bear means instant death (corpse running was never fun).

I enjoy WoW as much as anyone and love finishing the campaigns, the quests, etc. I also work 10 to 12 hours a day in real life. Plus I have a social life outside of polygons. The reason subscriptions have gone down, besides elitist idiots like yourself, after the start of an expansion is that real people have lives outside of this game. When they do it still takes a ton of time even to get the legendary campaign even doing the LFR raiding. The game is great but a time succubus to quest as well as raid and most importantly to sit back and enjoy enviroments created for a few hours a week.

Nixxiom Machinima Well for me, ToR killed WoW. I play both, but I like ToR more. The interaction, companion system, stories, etc. Still WoW lore is where i would place my money at.
