This is a personal reflection on the top 10 ways to suck at Lord of the Rings Online. Not enough to make me quit, but sucked nonetheless. These are my personal opinions, what are yours?

Great points, Miloa! Some I haven't gotten involved with yet. After only playing 12 years at least! I suck lots, and it's so hard to change. I am a Completionist, but only on the starter maps. Once the choice is to go North or East, or the recent new areas, I give up on that! I am an explorer. I need to know what's behind every tree and on the other side of town with no quest rings. I must open every glowy little thing, like backpacks. I will dive into a pit of orange orcs just to open a backpack! When Mithril was invented, I would gripe & beef about having to spend real cash on in-game stuff. Then I opened a backpack that gave me 200 Mithril! No more complaints since, and I open everything I can! Fellowships don't care much for these behaviors. I'm clumsy and slow at the keyboard and mouse. Got a trackball, which makes a big difference, but still panic in raids, instances, skirmishes, bar fights. Working on this with a neurologist, but I can't play in the band and act in the shows for the time being. Some favorite content! Toons! Toons, characters, and toons! Must have more! It's fun, however, I spend lots of time switching Alts, and takes a year to get up a level or two! I still have a few in the Shire, I think! I hope nobody else is this bad!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm love having many alts as well, although I really only play 1 at endgame. What I love the most about LOTRO is the flexibility it allows for people to play how they like to play. That's why I started this video with... this is only my opinion and experience, because I know people have vastly different experiences.

First time here. love your enthusiasm. I'm a 14yr player. Early days it was just fun learning the game, beating Helegrod, The Rift Etc, Now it's like going to a job interview just to get into a Group.

Yeah I hear you. The raids have definitely gotten much more challenging, and people's times have gotten limited, so raiders have essentially become less tolerable of new comers to raiding. Over on my Discord Server Brandywiped, we help new upcoming raiders, learn the ropes, get geared out, experience T1-3 raiding, before deciding if raiding is actually something they want to commit to. But yeah, Getting into an established group is tough when people already have strong bonds with each other.

Yeah I totally agree with that. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but only the devs decide what actually goes into the game lol

I "suffer" from completionism. Used a lvl 120 Valar on a character and intended to follow the epic questline only, but I just can't not do all the quests and deeds in a region. My first character almost finished Evendim, and I have 9 characters currently. They even go to Ered Luin and the Shire to max them out if they started in Bree-land 😂

Hi, i start recently the game and I was making all the quests I saw and reading them haha and yes there are many....I still lvl 15 so I don't make any raid yet....but now I'm curious of how are those 😁

Hi Welcome to LOTRO! Raids can be a LOT of fun. The first instance you'll encounter is at level 20? and is called Great Barrows. There are 3x 6person instances at that level. If you advertise in world you can usually find people to run those. Goodluck and Happy Hunting.

For UK keyboards the UI is accessible by pressing CTRL + # just in case anyone from UK is watching. After watching this I had to figure out why my CTRL + backslash wasn't working.....now to keybind everything. This should be fun 😱

yes. On Hrimil T4B1 with buffs and everything I can parse up to 1.3 mil dps BUT note that after U37 with the stat crunch all the numbers will change@@fruixx2.034

I'm playing for 2 years doing all quests in every area epic quest line leads me to. Currently in woods of Lothlorien. The story is only good thing in LOTRO so I'm getting most of it

Yeah the epic story line is great. The side stories start to get very repetitive later on, with very little diversity.

missed out proberly one of the biggest ones at end game pugging higher tier raids in world chat and exspecting to clear it countless times ive seen people try to pug them have joined the odd one just to see how bad they can go without organisation. dont mean pugging one or 2 spots as ur missing a few people the whole raid group

I know right?? They've done such an amazing job with their resources to keep LOTRO alive! They have done a tremendous job this year dropping content every quarter. Next week we get River Hobbits and I can't wait.

I was point and click as well, and it works for T1+2 raids, but after I went to T3+ raids I had to convert, it was really slowing me down. Thanks for watching.

I will NEVER follow any guides, they hurt the game so much and I'll quit if I am not being myself

because then everyone's just a cookie cutout and then nobody is unique anymore

ah then you haven't seen my guides :) I go to great lengths to help people learn how to gear themselves out and make decisions on building, simply b/c the cookie cutter method just doesn't work anymore because of ALL the different types of iterations you can have between gear, essences, and traceries.@@Splitspine1

This needs expanding upon. What's wrong with being a cookie cutout? Like, think about it. Your joy for playing a class should not be affected by someone else also playing that class your way. You either like a class play style or you don't. But if you are in a raid, you contribute the most by playing to your strengths, and that naturally will lead you down a "cookie cutout" path with small variations. Alternatively, you just play solo, and do whatever you want (great) or you play in a group and still do whatever you want (that's a bit inconsiderate isn't it?)

I tried to like LOTRO but as a new player, there are NO groups. I been playing for about 3 weeks now, and i have yet to get a group. This is an MMO that you pretty much have to play ALONE till your end game. Just feels dead as a new player. Whats the point of an MMO if no one groups. There are no gold sellers cause no one wants to play it.

So a couple of things...(1) The servers are pretty dead atm because we just finished our high season, and people are taking a break before the next big content release that is coming in Q4. Once the content drops it will be super busy again. Also, the mariner is supposed to drop soon, and then there will be a lot of new players doing that. (2) There are no gold sellers because that is against SSG Terms Of Service, and people get banned for Selling And Buying GOLD. They clamped down on that a year ago, a lot of people got their accounts banned, so people don't risk loosing their accounts over gold anymore. (3) Pugging in world for lower level content is going to be very challenging, since LOTRO is a mature audience, meaning people have been playing together for 5+ years. Your best path forward would be to join a kinship or a discord group and ask people there to help you out. Since players don't "scale" to the instance, often it is NOT profitable for endgame players to help new comers, something lacking in the game imo, but its a different story if you're part of a kin. What server are you on? For low levels you might have to try asking for a group, because the odds of a low level group being there and recruiting at the same time is very low.

I would love to play expansions and quest packs. But living in Bosnia, its hard to buy anything. With paycheck of 250 euros per month.:(

Here's what I would do.... go back and finish all the deeds that you can, because they're going to give you lotro points. If you run out of deeds, roll and alt and start farming lotro points again. Then you can purchase the expansion with lotro points. It will be a grind though, but there is a way. Good luck!

While I have a job and can afford it I am currently trying to save for my first house so this alternative to gaining expansions sounds wonderful for my position
