I'm completely unfamiliar with the parkour community and if it’s not annoying to ask I’m just wondering what exactly is rankup parkour? Like what’s the difference between this and smth like zero minr? Really cool video btw

Rankup parkour is basically a course without any checkpoints. There are usually failsafe sections, but there is often the risk of falling back to the start of the course up until the very end. A lot of the clips shown in the video are of "Sky", which is the part at the end of a rankup course where you can fail all the way back to the start. It's called rankup because it was initially used as a series of courses where you would have to beat one to "rank up" and unlock the next.

With Pandora's box, do you have to restart the entire thing after failing a jump, or is it that you just have to restart a section? Also how many sections are there?

It depends. Some sections are failsafe, so failing only sends you back to the start of the section. Some sections are life/death, so failing sends you back to a previous section. And there's 13 sections

yup pretty much. it's been the hardest map by far for the last 2 years, and no one has beaten it still. however, there's a new hardest map now called realm of champions

Greypk also beat the hardest map on the Renatus Network server called Parthenon, so far he still is the only one to ever beat it. I read that the first person to beat Parthenon would get something like 1000$ but I'm not sure if it's true or not.

why do most of the parkour community play 1.8.9 except for the parkour speedrunners? The new versions bring so many new things that you can also use them for jumps

In 1.14 the mechanics of parkour were changed to make it harder to pass corners of blocks, so jumps have higher potential in previous versions. Also, 1.8.9 is standard for all forms of multiplayer because of pvp and such

@@BRCamy it's good that things change, then you can adapt afterwards and develop new jumps with new mechanics, e.g. since 1.20 there has been a slime blip with which you can make many new good jumps At first glance, not every change is good, but you get used to it and use it for new things

Why even put proven cheaters on the list, especially at #1? There’s no trusting them, regardless if some of their accomplishments seem legit. Once that bridge is burned it can’t be brought back. How can anything from them be trusted if they decide to stoop to such a level.

I'm pretty involved in the community so I have a good idea of everyone's skill, cheater or not. The list isn't supposed to reward or praise the best players, and accuracy is the #1 goal. So even though the best person in the world may have cheated, he's still the best.
