One thing I find intresting, is how traditionally, for almost all of history, Central and Eastern Europe have always been way stronger than the west, until much more recently, the new world was discoverd. Even then, mainland Europe was still dominated by Eastern and Central powers until the 18th and 19th century. Even if the west, had colonies elsewhere.

Yeah but their system was flawed: Much like the Austrians after them, the Ottomans made no successful move in converting the people they occupied to their creed. Furthermore, the Ottomans were largely dependent on the Balkans since their own territory was not as rich. Their military was also the Janissaries, European slaves from birth since all territories under Ottoman control (but not directly annexed) had to be give their firstborn sons over to the Ottomans. This meant that the moment the Habsburgs began to nibble on the Balkans it was over for the Ottomans. If the Ottomans had tried to convert everyone to Islam they definitelly would have had less internal peace in the short term, but in the long term they would have succeeded. I, for one, am happy they failed, since I'm Romanian.

I agree with them not being able to covert everyone to Islam being a problem. They ended up trying to do so by force, which makes no sense since Islam has laws which are against forcing one to change religions (people don't know this fact thanks to The many extremist groups out there who spread false information and make everyone have a bad impression on the religion) The ottomans could've introduced the religion through peace, inviting people rather than enforcing. Enforcing literally led to more internal conflicts, and more rebellions. And those who werent keen on joining Islam, didnt need to pay extra taxes. Instead they could've been treated equally. If they had gotten proper control over the Balkans, they could've defeated the Habsburgs. and probably controlled more of Europe. Instead they fell apart badly. But well good for you I guess, since you're Romanian 🇷🇴

Le drapeau blanc en France et dans le monde à toujours représenté le roi, le rouge le peuple, et le bleu la garde nationale. Avant la révolution le drapeau était blanc et en réalité il avait des petites fleurs de lys par dessus. Que j’ai déjà vu 2000 fois certe et qui devient de moin en moin amusante car ça en devient peut gratifiant pour ce qui l’utilise. En effet cette blague est très répandu et nombreux sont aux courant qu’il ne s’agit pas de la réalité. Et que la France n’est pas lâche. D’ailleurs je pense que c’est tout le contraire car comme l’on est vu comme un pays super-puissant ça étonne tout le monde que l’on soit vaincu en si peut de temps. Nous les français. Les gaulois. Les génie de la tactique militaire et de la solidarité. Par exemple la pologne elle, (est un beau et magnifique pays et personne ne me fera changer d’avis. Les Polonais constamment à la recherche d’innovation et très fière de leurs pays dans la majorité. ça en devient contagieux. ) est tombé en moin de 45 jours comparé à la France. Elle aussi à été victime de la blitzkrieg. Quand on étudie ce cas on se rend compte que les gens dans le monde attende beaucoup de la France par rapport aux autres pays européens. Je pense qu’ils se souviennent encore que pendant la guerre froide nous étions la 3eme puissance militaire mondiale. Ou encore que nous sommes les seuls avec les états-unis à être en capacité de concevoir des navire à propulsion nucléaire tel que le « PORTE AVION-CHARLES DE GAULE » . Je ne voudrais pas dire que les gens sont jaloux de nous au contraire. Mais je pense qu’ils nous admirent. Et qu’ils admirent notre histoire. Qu’ils en deviennent passionnés. Ainsi beaucoup peuvent te reprendre et contrer indéniablement ton commentaire en faisant l’éloge de la France et avec un peu de recherches sur les lois militaires. La doctrine militaire de la France notamment qui a principalement joué dans cet évènement de 1940. A été pour des spécialistes de la seconde guerre mondiale la raison majeure qui a mener la France à une telle défaite. It couldn't stay united anyway cause mongols were nomads who grouped only to conquer. When it doesn't come to conquering they cannot stay as a strong state cuz they lack culture and intellect

@@randomguy6152 Slavs settled on the Eastern european plain long time ago, after they left Indostan to find new lands. When Rus state was formed much earlier than mongolian nomads could ever thought of uniting. It stayed as a sovereign country from 862 to 1241, it developed it's own culture and nationhood unlike mongols who could stay united only while they were fighting for lands. Once they stopped the wars and tried to form a state, they failed. That's some real nomad mentality for you

If it looks better... The Mongol Empire was technically the only empire that aspired to dominate the entire known world. Not for nothing are there writings of his conquests from Japan to Hungary.

*sigh* Alexander, Rome, some Chinese empires, the original Arabic Califate. And many others. They all had aspiration to dominate the entire known world, they just didnt have the logistical need because they werent a nomadic people whose entire society could nearly move with them. Alexander couldnt go further because his armies were tired, his empire unstable and the situation not so great Rome couldnt go further because the larger they were the more they had to fight on all front The Chinese Empires for the most part wanted to dominate the known world because they considered themselves the Kingdom at the center of everything essentially, so they could dominate everything by proxy, which they somewhat did depanding on when The Arab Califate tried hard, but when their entire society was dominated by an Arabic tribe minority in 4/5th of their land and a majority in the last, while others were dominated and couldnt reach to top of society, twas only a matter of time before it fell apart

@@ThatBalkanGuy. Man if this all wasn't supposed to be 48 hours operation then Kiev would be captured after 24 hours. Instead unprepared Russian army had to withdraw from northern Ukraine. And do u really you think they prefer long conflict with hundreds of thousands of casualties on both sides, massive economic and military equipment losses over quick breakthrough and capture of the whole country? It's obvious that this all was supposed to be fast and they failed miserably
