You can buy lengths of lace and ruffles at a fabric store and attach them with snaps inside a blazer. I've done that with cashmere pullovers to dress them up.

I love the blouse and my favorite look is with the black patent leather belt. The earrings really look festive. LOVE that suit! I also like the sweater look and the pearl silk blouse. Gorgeous. The black silk blouse and pearls are beautiful. Adding a holiday pin or corsage on the sweater would be perfect for an informal holiday get-together, or just to look special at home. Very nice!

Its much better to see quality clothing on a woman that shouts 'tasteful' rather than glittery short dresses which show everything! Glad you chose one UK item of clothing , the top is lovely. Lilly silk I've been meaning to purchase from. That's going to be my Christmas present!!

Wow! What a pick me up! I found this video so inspiring! We won't have a traditional Christmas/New Year's Eve this year, but it can still be meaningful and spark some joy. I once saw an interview with Kate Moss as she was getting ready to go out. She said that it was her favourite part of the evening. When you think of the events she goes to and the glitterati in her life, it says a lot if she still enjoys the simple fun of getting ready more than anything else about occasion. I love that suit, so much flair to it. You are right about avoiding overkill on the accessories. The detailing in the suit and the shimmer in the silk blouses is bling enough, although the long beads look fantastic with the black blouse. When I think about the jewellery markets of the Middle East and string after string of real pearls, and how I didn't buy them at the time... I do have pearls though, and you can't buy everything you see! I am more mindful of keeping things simple after watching your videos. I love black V-neck luxury sweaters, worn on their own. This is definitely something I would go for. I think it's great that you try things. As you say, you just don't know until you try. It brings in that element of surprise. We should all be surprising ourselves with our style. You are looking fab, I hope all is well with you and your household xx

You look radiant in these black outfits, I love the contrast it creates, makes the skin look luminous and the red lipstick is like the cherry on top. I love the play between feminine and masculine, it is playful and sexy when a woman borrows something from the gentleman's closet like you did here.
