Love the John Williams score during this scene. The close ups of the main characters, which all have the “am I going to survive” look on their faces. Classic disaster movie moment!

I love how the film starts with one set of star/main characters, and as they are killed off this new bunch come to the fore. I especially love how the remaining fireman and Carlos get big closeups

Its a wonder nobody's done a sequel to this movie: what they did to the remnants of the building, the legal repercussions, what happened to the survivors, etc.

All star cast fun movie intriguing and great plot. Too bad they can’t make movies like this anymore. It’s all CGI CGI wasn’t invented when this movie was made.???

Think of it this way, you have gravity to bring down the water to all the floors requiring pumps to mainly bring it up.
