There's a picture online of the heavy shield used by the French forces going into the Bataclan theatre during the terror attack. That one ate some damn rounds, I tell ya. Horrific but cool stuff at the same time. So it depends on the shield, but there are several kinds, yes.

He was lying to them by saying he'd take the arrest because they would have never split up if he told them he was going on a suicide mission so they'd have a better chance to escape. It was also a pretty funny line to deliver in such a dire situation.

Ben affleck (creator of this movie ) used live blanks in the guns used for all shootout scenes- just like Michael Mann does in Heat . Just FYI Rewatch the scenes and see all the shells ejecting (brass casings and so on ) in all shootouts in this movie , another movie .. that does it well is “ Den of Thieves “ - same deal - all live blank ammunition 1.Heat 2.The Town 3. Den of Thieves Best bank 🏦 robbery movies ever made in my opinion at least 😛

I think the filmmaker wants to show the audience whom of the two SWAT officers in the picture fired the deadly bullet. But the racking in this situation makes no sense; also the fact that the flashlight during the racking suddenly gets engaged!? Unless the SWAT officer wants to show his position (Hey man, I am here! Shot in the direction where the flashlight is; maybe you gonna hit me or my partner or both of us).

@@kballs94 most movies don’t due to the possibility of injury(blanks can still kill at short ranges) or things like hearing damage and if they do most of the time the original sound is removed and sound effects are added. Hence why most movies never come close to the 1995 heat city shootout scene with the real sound of the rifles and other guns echoing/reverberating of the buildings and skyscrapers…..

Yea they would I lost both my ear drums going inside a negative pressure HVAC roof unit and my dumb ass helper let the door slam behind me and boom lost them both I also had air pods in my ears lol. Bombs work similar as it’s a concussion plugging your ears will help but that close I doubt it maybe the van would have absorbed some. Who knows
