What an incredible "cruise" the 2 of you chose to take . Lively to see enjoyingv your natural surroundings WITHOUT having to put in the usual required hard work LOL lovely to see Kristoffer in particular ,able to relax with you and simply enjoy both you as his company and the amazing surroundings. Thankyou for sharing the stories of history with us. It always makes history more appealling to me when theres a personal touch added. I missed whether you said you could visit these outposts in your own vessel??? I think not but please clarify ?? Such exquisite beauty, all Gods glorious masterpiece for mankind to explore and animals to live there. Many blessings from Down Under in awe of your part of the world. 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👍👌✌️👏✝️

Hello Cicilia..i am from India and it felt so nice to see our country's own research station on that small vilage ...the plaque you showed...it was written both in Hindi language (our national language) and English...with the name of the Minister, Mr Kapil Sibal who must have initiated that research programme... thankyou so much for showing that... beautiful video as always ❤

Those of us who lived in The North know that dressing for the weather is key. There's not really a reason to BE cold when it's cold outside, in fact wearing proper clothing means you're actually toasty warm. :) Which reminds me, I need to get snow pants...

I never comment, but found your channel about a year and a half ago when I started to plan my reserach campaign in Ny-Ålesund and wanted to learn more about Svalbard. I was in Ny-Ålesund for a month this summer and it's very strange seeing all the buildings again! I spent a lot of time in that gift shop (and also bought a ridiculously expensive christmas ornament 😂). Love your videos! I hope they have something like this in Heaven because at my age, I don’t ever foresee being young enough or brave enough to venture to these places. ❤❤Thank you, Cecilia, so much, for giving us a look into these wondrous places. I’m in recovery from a major life event, and though I can’t hike yet- this gives me those reminders why I need to keep pushing myself, and not give up.(this is difficult) My father was a noted Yellowstone photographer, working often with Galen Rowell…. hiked endless delicious miles. One of your best yet Ms Blomdahl ! Absolutely gorgeous the sea, the sky, the tiny little grey fox, the interesting history and the current use of the settlement. And so fascinating that it was the jumping off point for the Amundsen exploration to the North Pole, I had absolutely no idea that they travelled by airship, that seems quite scary, what must it have been like in wild stormy weather inside a huge inflatable tin can? Sending long distance hugs to you Christoffer and Grimm, from our side of this amazing planet to yours (Aotearoa) xx
