I built exactly one of these, 2002 Tahoe LS, 5.3 forged internals, head studs, CX Racing 80mm turbo, walboro 450 fuel pump, some .600 lift turbo cam, 4 inch turbo back full exhaust, 4L80e swapped, Deka Siemens 80lb injectors, got electric radiator fans from a newer suburban it bolts right in, have to relocate the coolant reservior if you use the common turbo headers that you can buy where it puts the turbo near the oil fill cap. Blew up the stock 4l60e transmission, replaced with 4l80. Blew up the stock rear end, going to try a full spool. The thing will do 60+ in 1st gear, you could actually go crazier than 4.10 gears, or even 4.56, 4.88. Gear ratio calculators can tell you what you're looking for

Those 00-06 Tahoes and suburbans are beasts even stock if you find a good one with low mileage you can pick it up for less than 10k and it will last you another 10-15 years

Start with 4x4 Tahoe , use the Silverado SS transfer case, and then don't matter what you put to it, the awd setup can take 1500hp without concern. Front end will handle it too, just put fat tie rods on to keep it from doing the pigeon toe..... awd launches off a trans brake with a4600 lbs Tahoe just sounds fun.

Just bore 5.3 to 3.898, gen 4 rods, and sdpc cam since they about $100 cheaper and 69/73 from vs. Should spool quick and carry past 6000 and still be okay to tow with

2500 suburban has a 6.0, 4l80 and full floating rear and stiffer suspension. Top end, cam and turbo kit and you got a Jeep fighter. Also swapping a nv4500 instead of a 4l80 is an option if you want a clutch pedal. They were used in heavy duty applications so they hold up. Barbie drove a Jeep, I’ll keep my suburban
