However, he will always be remembered for playing the down and out boxer from the fighting city of Philadelphia and everyone’s favorite underdog, Rocky Balboa. Stallone wrote the screenplay for the now-classic Hollywood tale, which eventually propelled him to stardom.

I lost both my daughter's who I Love with all my heart because of this world and unlike Sylvester Stallone my daughter's are still alive. One believes satanic worship and is very violent and my other daughter very violent and hates Authority both are on drugs thanks to this world. Thanks to this world no more family, no more religion, no more holidays are feast days. Don't give up you say what a joke woman want to be like men and men want to be like woman. You know, his story isn't exactly Tragic or plain sad, it's a story called Life. He choose well on his path correctly and dealt with Life's Ups and Downs very well. The tragedy is having to be forced to make an announcement and/or beg the media to back off a very personal loss and remind people that his loss is his and his family's loss, not anyone else's and to just back the hell off. @@dwreck157 yes! When you learn to appreciate small, simple things, life becomes much easier. That doesn't mean, you have to stop dreaming big, but to always keep one foot firm on "reality" ground and to accept small things as same as big ones. I know it sounds like cliche, but a sunny day or a neighbor smile or things which you have mentioned, like just enjoying with kids, family, friends. I think the biggest problem is that in this crazy modern society many people are brainwashed with materialistic things being a key to happiness, so they have lost a sence of real life values and become frustrated, angry, sad and depressed because they can not reach those materialistic things. And in the meantime, so many beautiful small things go through our life and we don't even notice. I learn every day how to be more humble, more thankful and happy for what I have, instead of crying for what I can't have.

I never knew that Sylvester Stallone was from the streets; I always thought that was an act... But if he was sleeping in the port authority before his career took off then he is definitely from the streets... I just love Sly. He is actually a really nice guy. I have met him several times at parties, and various other events and he is a really down to earth, funny, kind man. Very friendly. The second time I met him, I couldn’t believe he remembered me. He called me by name and asked how my family was, (he knew several of them) I was over the moon. ❤️

This dude has been my hero since I was 13 years old. I have a sunken chest (Sly does, too), and thanks to Rocky, I got tired of people telling me what I would never be able to do. My tiny, underweight, asthmatic body started running daily (inhaler in hand) and lifting weights. Two years later, I hit my growth spurt, had muscles, and had been amateur boxing. I did well in boxing, but life took over. I'm 43 now. I am still bodybuilding, traded my running shoes for a mountain bike, and rock a 8-12% body fat at all times. 6' 180lbs. I owe it all to Sly. This man STILL inspires me. 💪😎 ❤

Watching this makes me really appreciate the new Rambo movie. The ending in particular, Syl has lived a life of heartbreak and in that movie he rips a mans heart out and tells him “this is what it feels like” makes it seem very sad.
