You can always ask the photographer because they normally help you out on posing and positioning! Trust me I understand that feeling. It's not just the hands, the whole body can be awkward to position at times in a photoshoot so just relax and be more confident about yourself. Check some simple poses online too. It helps a lot! :)

As a professional Hiro cosplayer, Conner's poses are truly amazing. Joey is just a natural at this and Garnt is surprisingly doing pretty well. Also Sydney is rocking that red suit.
