@@jdmnsxr6820 Ppl think your racing them when your not. I had a dodge truck try to race me. I think he was drinking. There are always faster cars though. You never know what someone has under the hood. My tuner has an older Chevy truck with all wheel drive making 1,200 Hp. It's a sleeper. He claims he can hook up in the rain. I believe him. It's usually the newbs that make stupid claims and wanting to race cars that can eat them.

Yup, the blinkers on my 67 stang do the same thing. The one that's out will blink fast like that, the other will be normal

Had that issue on an old Honda Accord. I replaced the headlight and it was normal again.

I've owned my 98 C5 for a little over 2 years and its been a fantastic car and very reliable. No major issues at all. Even with 109K the car runs strong as hell with the new tune. The newest C5 u can get (2004) is 12 years old, these cars still perform well even by todays standards. Such a awesome platform to build on.

im 17 and my first car was an 02' c5... yes, I bought it myself. Its a great car, and makes amazing mpg for a v8. The ls has to be my all time favorite engine.

Chevy made an awesome car with the C5. i ordered my silver and black with Z51 in Feb 2004, and took possession with 4 miles on the clock. I've loved it ever since. Super reliable car. Still very fast, and quite comfortable on cross-country trips. I'll likely have it until I'm gone.

The blinker is blinking fast because one of your front turn signals are out. GM designed the car to alert you when the turn signals are out. You need a 3157NA bulb by the way. I think putting a regular 3157 bulb will cause the blinker to blink like that too. Literally JUST changed mine.

I'm all about corvettes, but Ford should make a competitor, "besides the Ford Mustang and the Ford GT" because Mustangs are with camaros "stock" and Ford GT are rare nowadays compared to the Vette

The angle of the nose on C4's and C5's is purpose driven. The radiator has to be pushed forward and sat backwards 15 degrees to squeeze in that tight space, but that's also the first metallic object in the front of the car. Police Radar waves are bounced up instead of back and because of this it reduces the distance before a cop can detect you.

true, also with the fiberglass, the lidar gets absorbed by it!! i've got a coating of stealth veil over all my lights and license plate. i also use a uniden r7 and i've avoided a lot of speed traps and radars. my insurance doubled after my first speeding ticket

Hey David I love your videos! Glad to see you're back to reviews. By the way the blinker clicking faster means that there's a burnt bulb in the circuit, so there is less resistance, which allows the amps to flow faster causing it to blink faster.

Thank you so much for keeping me 17 years old! I was soooo much like you! The word was COOL! Truth be told I am turning 60 this April but I am also getting my pension! I have owned my now 69,956 mile "99" stock pewter C-5. That I can start doing as you say cam-it ( along with all the other goodies) maybe even a super charger? It will be so nice to finally have the 💰 after driving it stock for 7 years! Hold on to your youth as long as you can! ( "Make it last" Montrose "73")

As a Corvette owner, I agree with your sentiments. Mustangs are pretty and nice, but as a clan we really don’t take Mustangs seriously. It is what it is, Vette is always the top dog 🐕

The blinker is like that becasue there is a bulb out somewhere (at least that is usually the issue). Also the brake vibration is clearly warped rotors... so not the car's fault as that is a driver issue mostly (from driving a bit too hard with them and those brakes are a far cry from the new ceramic ones)..

I figured. Nice car BTW... must be fun. Best I can do right now is a 05 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V... I live in Maine so I need front wheel drive for the snow and cannot afford to have more then one car right now :D Maybe one day I will be able to get a vette or something comparable... but I d not have a huge desire like you guys do (I love cars but that are not my main passion... plus I always feel bad in a sporty car as I like to use it too much and it makes me feel really bad for some reason).

Rotarys are a piece of shit! In Europe a 2005 Mazda RX-8 with 90k kilometers, for example is hardly worth 3500€ because everyone knows that this engine is gonna break within the next 20k kilometers. Also it uses 15.7ltr per kilometer in city traffic, which is a lot for a 240hp car. I like the looks of those two though. So if I'd decide to buy an RX-7or8 I'd swap that engine out faster than you can tell me not to do it! ;-) But I can kind of see what you mean. it's somehow sad to see a good engine swapped out, right? Only that the rotary isn't a good engine. But a ls-swapped s2000 is indeed sad, but then again, can I have that ap1? I could need a real engine for a RX-8, lol

I'm a mustang guy myself, however when I use to autox there was a guy that had won his c5 from a competition, as far as I know he changed the dampners and tires and that car almost always had fastest time of the day, combination between good car, setup and driver

the sporadic turn signal is to tell you a signal bulb is out, when you swap to aftermarket bulbs, that can happen. no hate here, just sharing information

When I was car hunting a month ago, I saw a silver c5 with a 6 speed. I wanted it so bad, but it was out of my price range. So I got a 2005 mustang GT instead 😄

C5 has always been my favorite. I don't care what new one comes out. Maybe because it's the corvette I grew up with. Playing it on need for speed, seeing it on the streets when I'd ride my bike, etc. C5 will always be king to me

Auto seems to shift pretty quick when your in it though, lol. As a current C6 owner myself, It never stops amazing me how little money I've put into this LS3 and the power it puts down....all the while still delivering 30 mpg!!

I had a black 03 C5 ZO6 a few years ago. That was a fast and fun car. Sold it to a middle aged guy and he put it in the ditch before he even made it home. Sould have never sold it.......sigh.

I have a 04 same motor it came with it's a N/A WITH A BTR STAGE 4 CAM JUST HAD THE RPM LEVEL 5 TRANSMISSION. PUT IN NOT CHEAP 6,000 TOTAL INSTALL WAS 2,000 3 YEAR 36,000 MILE WARRANTY

Ian Fosbrook better looking?? Yeah don't think so. Terminator looks pretty much the same as a shitty mustang gt. C5 has far better shape and lines. No comparison when it comes to looks. Sound is subjective.

And this hole joke about mustangs is getting old for one is its not the car fault people don't know how to handle the power out of the car with its light rear end. 2 I owned 3 of them and never had any problems own a 2016 GT right now and well it handles like a dream! A buddy of mine loves his 240sx own a shit load and said when he drove it. It felt like a 240 in the corners just more power.... See where I'm going at

I absolutely love my brothers C3 and the only C5 I've ever driven was a beautiful experience. There's not too many ways to go wrong with a vette unless you get the crossfire disaster.

The C5 is an incredible project car. They're inexpensive to buy, you've got LS power, good chassis and suspension and cheap parts for the build. I've long hated the 1980's looking popup lights, but those can be removed.

Just wanted to mention, the Corvette didn't have a Cobalt steering wheel, it was the other way around. I'm pretty sure the C6 had that steering wheel to itself for at least a year before it started showing up in damn near every Chevy and Pontiac in GM's lineup.

cam only means headers and cam with no head work (other than supporting mods to the cam like upgraded valvesprings etc.) if it has ported/polished headwork or aftermarket heads, it SHOULD be referred to as heads/cam

Superchargers go really well with vettes they seem to compliment each other well, those A&A superchargers are the best FI setup you can run on any vette
