This is completely safe, unlike what Skinner from the X-files says, there's also no timing involved. The weight isn't raised until the magician is being wheeled away.

I remember watching this in California with my mom's old boyfriend he was in to magic tricks and he could pull off some of the best tricks I've ever seen in person mostly card tricks which I know a few because he taught me

Obviously if they don't see the magician crawl onto the hospital gurney, they would never let the weight fall on the car. This isn't as dangerous as you think...
