In this episode, the hosts discuss the doctrine of the Trinity, which they believe is the most distinctive Christian doctrine. They define the Trinity as one divine being existing as a Trinity of three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
They emphasize that the Trinity is a reasonable and sound position consistent with the teaching of Scripture. The hosts also caution against using analogies to explain the Trinity, as they often lead to misunderstandings and heretical beliefs.
They provide biblical evidence for the Father being God and discuss the importance of maintaining the unity and distinction of the persons within the Trinity. In this part of the conversation, the speakers discuss the divinity of Jesus. They explore passages from the Old and New Testaments that support the belief that Jesus is God. They address objections such as Jesus being the first created being and the personification of wisdom in Proverbs. The speakers provide evidence from Scripture to demonstrate that Jesus is eternal, the creator of all things, and the recipient of worship.
They emphasize the importance of understanding the context and language used in the Bible to accurately interpret these passages. In this part of the conversation, the hosts discuss various objections and misconceptions about the Trinity.
They explore the interpretation of Proverbs 8, the divinity of Jesus, and the personality and divinity of the Holy Spirit. They also address whether belief in the Trinity is necessary for salvation and the difficulty of fully understanding the Trinity.
Overall, they emphasize the importance of seeking the truth and having a sincere heart in understanding and believing in the Trinity. In this conversation, the host and guests discuss the true and living God and the opportunity for reconciliation through Jesus Christ. They explore the nature of God, the role of Jesus, and the importance of reconciliation. The conversation encourages listeners to think deeply about their faith and to glorify God in their lives.

Hello, what God has shown me is that by using the word “one being” it is confusing people. The Bible uses “one Spirit”. And so I found the better way to state the Trinity like this: God is one Spirit that contains both the person of the Father and person of the Son. “For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.” Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬ “to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,” - ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭ESV‬‬ “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves or free-and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”- ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬ “But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.” - ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What he holds 3 god and doesn't make Jesus fully God and ALPHA DNA OMEGA, the first and the least. None of these guys are monotheists, they are tritheists and listen to their errors and it is a sham.

I am still unsure about the "Holy Spirit", whether he is a person or rather just God himself. Jesus said, "God is Spirit". And in John 14:23 when Jesus talks about the Holy Spirit coming on believers, he only identifies the Father and himself coming to make their home. So I see this more as a "force" or "power" of God that contains the person and presence of the Son and Father. Also, the Father and Son have a relational name, but the Holy Spirit is unnamed relationally. Why is this the case if he is a person? What I will say is the Holy Spirit that indwells us is God (surely!) but I do not know if he is a separate person from the Father and Son or rather just is both of them at the same time.

I appreciate your humility and honesty. If you watched the whole episode, then you've heard the arguments I made. But let me give you another verse to consider. In 2 Corinthians 13:14, Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit are all mentioned individually, and Paul speaks of "the fellowship of the Holy Spirit." It seems that believers are capable of having intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and "fellowship" is something that can only be had with persons. And again, Paul makes a distinction between the Father and the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Holy Spirit can't refer to the Father in a different form or something like that. The plain meaning, at least in my opinion, is that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct persons.

@@Eric-en9hk- thanks Eric! I totally agree that the Spirit of God is the exact way that we have a relationship/fellowship with God himself! Since both the Father and Son are contained within the Holy Spirit, we have access to the whole fullness of deity through him. I still call the Holy Spirit “him” because the Bible does. I think he is the Spirit of God. When Jesus said, “but if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, the kingdom of God has come”. And Paul says: “…and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” And so we know the Spirit is associated with “power” biblically. In the same chapter Paul’s says, “these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” Paul compares our human spirit to God’s Spirit here, and so perhaps this is showing that the Spirit is an “extension” of God, but surely since both the Father and Son are contained within him (per John 14:23) then we have access to the personal thoughts of both of them! Thanks again Eric, if God shows you something else for me to consider, please write me back here. I praise the Holy Spirit either way, because he is the power of God that is responsible for our coming to faith, inspiring the scriptures, and our sanctification. Through him we have access to the divine nature as Peter says and I have found great power and have felt his presence in my life in so many ways. Blessings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus!

Have ye received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Did you receive it as the scriptures say and receive as "all" did and they spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. Acts 2:38-39 The Church all spoke in tongues as the Spirit poured out all the Apostles, disciples seen In Acts 2:, 8:,9:,10:,19:.

The tongues mentioned in these verses were, any kinds of dialects , they can speak after God poured his spirits to them, @1st,Cor, 14:1-40, if anyone who speak tongues, he must know what it means so that his listeners can understand the meaning of prophecies,,v, 22, wherefore, tongues are for a SIGN, NOT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE,,,, BUT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT: , BUT PROPHESYING SERVETH NOT FOR THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT, BUT FOR THEM WHICH BELIEVE,

@@renatovasquez6041 scriptures say they are unknown tongues, so they wouldn't know. Also that it says on PENTECOST " are not these Galileans, how did the Galileans know Many other languages. You best read up on it. For with stammering lips, what tongue is that? That isn't even a full dialect then. You don't really know what you speak.

Is the Son and the Father the same individual?
@theexaltedchrist7382
@theexaltedchrist7382 6 күн бұрын
Thanks for your question. The trinitarian understanding of God's revelation of Himself is that there is ONE God who exists eternally as THREE distinct Persons. The Father and the Son are both God (ONE) but are distinct in their Person (THREE). The Bible does not teach that there are three gods -- nor does the Bible teach that the Father and the Son (and the Spirit) are the same Person. Grace and peace to you.

@@theexaltedchrist7382 Ok, is a distinct person an individual?
@theexaltedchrist7382
@theexaltedchrist7382 6 күн бұрын
I'm not sure how you'd define an "individual." Yes, there is a distinction between the person of the Father and the person of the Son. That is, the Father is not the Son and the Son is not the Father. However, they are one. "I and the Father are one." (John 10:30) It seems you're trying to lead me somewhere. If that's the case, why don't you just state the point you want to make? Grace and peace to you.

1:30:20 - In 1 Corinthians 1, the Gospel of Christ is the "wisdom of God" and so I see Proverbs 8 as speaking to the formulation of the Gospel in eternity (Eph 1:3-14).

WELL YOU MET AMODALIST NOW! You don't ever see all three anywhere!, iT IS SHOT DOWN IN EVERY DEBATE. I heard one of the men speaking as I was typing to another "ONE" and then try and find a three in it. ONE IN THE N.T. Greek "HEIS" according to Thayer is a cardinal one, one Where it takes place of a predicate it means one person. A.T .Robertson One when masculine sets forth the idea of the cardinal numeral one... when referring to people or beings always the numeral one is implied Bauer masculine 'one' Gingrich Equivalent to protos FIRST, ONLY ONE, SINGLE. Gal. 3:20,28 But God is one, the Greek heis MEANS ONE PERSON the word difference HEIS IS ONE PERSON WITH hen MANY PERSONS. Know this, every time God is speaking in O.T., THAT GOD IS JESUS, his name not yet revealed, his Son not yet begotten the flesh of God, His Spirit not yet flowing as God through that man and then to us.
