Welcome back to another Peak District adventure! In this weeks video I do a 12 mile hike where I headed up to the Trinnacle for the first time! This was a stunning walk that had amazing views throughout and I highly recommend doing it if you're ever in the Peaks!
I hope you enjoy the video and feel free to leave a like and subscribe, it'll really help support the growth of my channel :)

That was an epic walk Alex! Loving the waterfall and Greenfield Brook on the way up. Stunning weather too. Well done for scaling the trinnacle and getting the iconic picture! I don’t blame you for not taking the leap 😬😬 Dovestone Rocks looks amazing with those views. Such a stunning area, this is on my list for this year!!! Great video and I love the music choice too. All in all, just awesome 💯

Wonderful video. 2 years on, unfortunately, the path up the waterfall and the descent on the way to the reservoir has become quite dangerous due to erosion. Oldham Mountain Rescue are always rescuing from the waterfall as it gets more treacherous by the day

Great video Alex thanks for taking the time to make and share it. I know that part od the dark peak quite well. As kids we used to catch the bus from north Manchester to Greenfield and then either go gritstone climbing on Laddow Rocks aka Indian Head, or walk up the service road to Chew Reservoir. On one occasion we walked across the moor and dropped down to nTintwhistle. We used to go summer and winter; in summer we would wild cap wild camp somewhere off the old pack-horse trail which is on the other side of the valley, and but in winter in we'd stick to the road then hunker down one the other side of the reservoir wall and make a fry-up on a methylated spirit stove. I've been back a couple of times in the last few years, but your video has definitely made me want to go back there this summer.

Awesome video mate and loved the introduction at the start with the gorgeous scenery. Haven't actually been to the Trinacle even after over 15 years of hiking lol so need to pay it a visit. Really enjoyed this video mate very well put together 👏🏻 brilliant job. Best not to jump across if you dont feel confident, plus you were on your own like you said and even more so looked a bit of a cold and frosty morning so you never know how slippy things can be. Nice route that and congrats on the 42nd Peak District trig! Absolutely stunning views on this hike mate 😍 Cheers for sharing dude 🙏🏼😁 ATB... Chris

Thanks Chris!! If you’ve never been I highly recommend paying a visit! Definitely a few good spots for a wild camp also which would be right up your street mate 😁 Yes I think if someone was on the other side I’d give it a go haha but definitely did not fancy it especially on a cold day like you said! Really appreciate that Chris, hope you’re doing well mate! Have a great week, cheers! 😁👍

Hi, Would you say this would be a safe route or general area to take a 11 year old Jack Russel? I took her with me to Alport castles a couple of Sundays ago and I took a fall with her in tow, so I am trying to be a bit more precautionary with my hikes. Also do you have an Alltrails route you used? Thanks 😊
