I'm currently in the process of purchasing a used semi-truck with the most reliable engine, preferably under 5 years old. Brands I'm considering include Kenworth, Volvo, or Peterbilt. I'm still researching and not entirely decided, but your information is proving to be helpful.

I was hauling for a company somewhere in Ohio and there was a line all the way out onto the freeway, not waiting for diesel, but for DEF. This last weekend I went and paid cash for a beautiful Kenworth with a C12 and 10 speed. No DEF, no mess. Now I’ll start the process for my own Authority or I’ll lease on somewhere.

My last 2 trucks, 1.3 million Detroit, sold them with no blow by. Did my oil change religiously at 15k delvac oil, but those were none emissions trucks. The truck I have now has 700k. It's a dd15, still going strong, but being an emissions truck, I don't know.

Does CRST include/require warranty on lease operator? And secondly do they allow you to inspect the truck before signing papers. Lastly, are they USED trucks or are they fresh to the driver. Seems like a trap to lease on with acquiring a used truck. I am 2 years experience delivering pepsi, grated day cab and 34' dryvan as one of your videos said "taking on too much at once" jumping into the flatbed lease program though I welcome the challenge and respect the videos you have put out.

hell, Flatbed for me is not paying anything. As a company driver for a company that rhymes with droid transportation. I'm only making on average $900 a week and only $25 tarping pay. The trailers are breaking so often I'm forced to only have 2-3 runs in a week and I most of the time. I do not get compensated enough for break down pay. They usually just give you the minimum pay which is $812 in my case others its $650 depends on what insurance you got.

@@spike8007 wages have definitely gone down thanks to the influx of foreign drivers that will work for nothing because it’s more than what they had where they come from, I’ve never been in trucking for money and I’m at the end of my career but i’ve always made a pretty good middle-class income however things are changing and I tell my son don’t even thinkabout getting in the trucking business go do something else,!!!! trucking used to be awesome, and we had a good run, but two major events killed the trucking industry, deregulation, and the end of the master freight contract and the automatic transmission, now it’s nothing but non-English-speaking flip-flops and pajama pants racing through the truckstop and parking in the fuel islands😔 if you’re young and don’t love trucks, I tell everybody go find another way , you’ll thank me later

My tri pack works perfectly and until it breaks I’m not gonna look at any other options, plus batteries and super cold weather don’t go in the same sentence so I’m not sure I would want to rely on it in Chicago in the winter time, you should’ve seen all the Tesla scattered and parked along the interstate up there when the temperatures dropped below zero this winter😂😂😂

Still gotta turn a profit before you concern yourself with write offs. I’m a dumptruck O/O in the fairly reasonable state of SC. Been driving an 89 kenworth for 8 years. Debating just buying a second old beater just to keep something on the road. These new trucks just aren’t holding up. If I were to run into problems with a 4700 truck payment I don’t know what I’d do.
