I started working in an Irish pub in Germany recently. When German customers reply to me in English, I speak with my strong rural Irish accent and the conversation swiftly switches back to German.

Hahaha I can feel that. It remembers me of the day when I was driving on my way home and saw two Bikers having a breakdown at the side of the road. I stopped with the aim of lending a helping hand. And realized they were Scots :D My English skills are really okay and of course they didn't have any problems in understanding me. But vice versa........... well....... I managed to explain the way to the next bike garage.....and that was it. If they've had any German skills I'd have been thankful 😉

Such a great tribute to the Easy German team, a very enjoyable video. After the first few days of a week's stay in Berlin recently I forced myself to speak German wherever I went, and the people were very accommodating. Must have been my Dutch accent that charmed them. 🤣
@Ned-Ryerson

Well, a discernible Dutch accent means you are not an English native speaker, so you will not be spoken AT in English, which us Germans love doing.

I have gotten that right in German?!).

I love the Easy Language KZfaq group, I live in France and learned more from Easy French than I have from a lot of other channels because the Easy philosophy is "Stick to the Target Language", so you never hear English or any other language, and they teach in context, I mean there are subtitles, but you don't need them

Hi Natt, i dont know if you ever visited Dinkelsbühl, its 70 km away from you on the border in Bavaria to Baden-Würtem berg (7km) . A nice medieval town over 650 years old and absolutly gorgeous with a lot of visitors every year. It is a part of the Romatic Street (Romantische Straße). I visited Schwäbisch Hall a few Times and in my oppinion Dinkelsbühl is more pretty . if you've never been there before go check it out :-) . Greetings from Dinkelsbühl.

The brand of police cars depend a little bit on the location your at in germany. In niedersachsen you will find a lot of VW because VW is located in Wolfsburg. In the south its a either mercedes (stuttgart) or BMW (munich). Opel is originally from Hesse (rüsselsheim). All other areas in germany have a wild mix of brands depending on the contracts with car manufactures.

First minutes of the video show one of these "only in Germany" (well, and several other countries) things: The window behind Nalf has the "Rollladen" (=rolling shutters) down to probably keep the sun out and the window "auf Kipp" (=opened part-way) for better air circulation.
