The friendship between Princess Diana and Sir Elton Hercules John may have been cut short by the former's untimely death more than two decades ago, but it was still very much a thing. Mrs H .... I'm not against the Royal family but I'm not a fan either BUT Princess Diana got my attention in the 1980's.... Her work for AIDS victims and her loving approach to the people turned my head cos she was so genuine... Diana & her boys are my favourite Royals .... Diana touched the uk's heart even though she struggled herself...She put other's before herself.... She was an extra brave, Beautiful soul... May she RIP....

Sir Elton John. Diana and John was closed friends. She stood by him in his happiness and pain. As well as he did to her. He was so down when she died so cruel. It takes guts to sing Goodbye English Rose on her funeral. He had to concentrate so hard not to cry. And still his heart ache for Dianas 2 sons. A friend in need is a friend indeed. He is still there to support prince Harry with care. As he very well know how much their mother loved her boys. May he have a long and happy life! GOD BLESS Elton now and forever!!! 🙏🙏🙏🌹

I bought a copy of tape and listened to it once but never again. I wrote a condolence letter to the British embassy. I received a thank you from them in which the ambassador said how surprised he was that so many Americans had responded to her death and how appreciative he was of all the condolences the embassies received.

I saw the entire wedding and the entire funeral. The world gain and lost a great Spirit. 👍 Beautiful and mesmerizing to all who fell in love and followed news about her. There are no words to explain her charm. You felt she was one you could be your complete self around her. Mother of two lovely boys. 😍 in spite of Charles she pulled it off. She remained true to those around her and through the pain of it all true to herself. A complete and utter disgrace what Charles was doing for all the world to see in her face. He got his Mummy no.2 and I guess since he was to be King he neede a virgin to birth his offspring! 👋 Camilla and Charles deserved each other! He couldn't have loved Diana ever. Anyone with a heart had to had felt her pain of feeling stuck. The Royals were more concerned about being Royals than loving her and accepting her. All of her.

When I was a kid my favorite song was crocodile rock and finally when I was in my 20s I got to see Elton John live in Regina Sask Canada at Taylor field I made sure I got front row to show my love and support for him I wore a rainbow shirt with long sleeves with frills on the cuffs I also had on large sunglasses and bought a Elton John hat to go with my ensemble I swear he saw me and smiled his sweet smile

I remember when she married Charles. Like many, I was taken by her (we were the same age) I experienced her thru the media for years, and loved her (I live in California) Everyone here was distraught when she died. We all loved that version of "Candle in the wind" when it came out; we still do. I'm not sure why Elton doesn't like it; but yet, I get it.

Because he was singing it to her at her funeral and you can’t enjoy a song after you have sung it for someone so close to you and it’s just way too painful! I know because picking out things with my Mother for my Father was painful and then I had to do stuff like picking out the casket and I designed my Mother’s stone and I will be there one day too but that’s more stressful on me and my husband’s grandkidss get stressed out with a job and helping us out once in a while not to compare !!

Diana is the only Royal I would've liked to have met. She was the only one who seemed genuine to me. Everyone has their ups and downs. Diana never seemed arrogant. Most of the other Royals seem to be composed of the deepest died arrogance.

IT looks like Princess Diana had really been close to Elton John at 1 time, and even once they had grown apart, over time they had once again been close friends again. Really, IT can NOT really be that easy to retain and make close friendships, when you are a "famous person".

I had no idea that they were such wonderful friends and he helped the boys out too ! That’s Great she could talk to him and him to her it’s awful that people who get famous are like prisioners no matter how much money you have it’s not worth losing your normal self and if anything you should try to regain your life and go out and be positive and polite if people rush up to you wanting autograph ask them why do want it? I am not Jesus Christ therefore I am just like everyone else I make a living doing pictures or I sing and one of these days I will retire !

@@janejohnstone5795 Dear Jane I am simply saying what my late Mother said and she always thought it was so ridiculous that people would want an autograph we had cell phones in early 90s and then when they put cameras in them my Mother adored this as she enjoyed taking pictures Very much so she left her Kodak at home and began using it slowly then more . People should enjoy pictures of folks and scenery my Mother took the neatest pictures of trees I ever saw!!😃😁

Someone in The Royal Family gave the Order to murder Princess Diana. I have my suspicions, but I won’t say who here. In The USA, the legal term “Unlawful Killing” = MURDER.

Diana died because her driver was speeding through a tunnel, at night, on wet streets, and Diana didn't have her seat belt on. There's never been any reason to hate the photographers. If Diana hadn't wanted her picture taken she could have turned off the interior lights or pulled the curtains on the limo's windows.

Poster Elle L is right on. Princess Diana was murdered - the Order was probably given by a member of The Royal Family. And, Olive, you are correct: Diana didn’t have her seatbelt on; but that was only because the rear seat belts in that car were inoperable; that specific car had just been pulled out of salvage. Other factors in the motor vehicle accident of Princess Diana: the white Fiat Uno, which we know made contact with the car that Diana was in; the “flash” of the camera pointed at the driver immediately before the accident - this camera flash was done by UK photographer Jacques Langevin, who was later convicted with Invasion Of Privacy. The ambulance dealt the final blow. There was more than one factor involved in the motor accident regarding the car that Princess Diana was in; we will never know everything for sure because all ten (10) of the tunnel cameras had been turned off. RIP Princess Diana.

interesting.. Was the driver ever convicted of speeding? Bringing up charges on those not wearing seat belts may be harder as they are what we call "brown bread". Where were the french police when there were foreigners from more than one nation driving around the place.? They found it hard in WW2 to control invasion, and hard to control its streets with diana. We all know they cannot control their own people let alone borders. What chance does anyone have driving down a french road .

Yep. The money hungry "Poppies" killed her. Drunk driver would not have been speeding if they didn't been chased. She was not wearing a seatbelt that might have saved her life, through the car wash mangled beyond recognition, it would have been a very small chance she may have survived.

The paparazzi did not kill Princess Diana. There was more than one factor. The driver wasn’t drunk - his autopsy blood samples were doctored and stolen. Don’t forget about the white Fiat Uno which made contact with Diana’s car in the tunnel. Both rear seatbelts were inoperable; they had just pulled that specific car out of salvage, and hadn’t had time to fix the seatbelts yet. Don’t forget about the bright camera flash that was aimed at the driver’s face immediately before the accident by UK photographer Jacques Langvin (who was later convicted of Invasion Of Privacy).

Dian died because of poor judgement of others and herself, she wasn't wearing a seat belt, she got into a car with a drunk driver and Dodi asked thd driver to speed up, stop glossing over these facts, as far as supporting Harry and Meghan he'd do better to tell them to stop telling lies, Diana would never have allowed this to go on and would be appauled by their behaviour because Diana supported the monarchy

I've always wondered about this too. I'm sure the paparazzi is a complete and utter nuisance to people like Princess Diana and even Elton John. But it seems there was more to her death than just them "chasing" her. The paparazzi have been following her for years. There was something different that night though. Several unfortunate things came together that night that didn't help the situation. But the paparazzi was only one part of it.
