Do you ever find yourself doing what you don't want to do?
Paul did, and he explained his struggle in Romans 7. But this passage gets a bad rap, as many presume it's about a battle of two spiritual natures- one good and one bad.
What's really going on is something entirely different!
Check out this short video clip as it reveals what's really happening when we experience the pull of temptation. We don't have to live like we're two people- a "good me" and a "bad me."
No, the truth that is way better than that!

Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to Christ. This is an act of faith. Your identity is in Christ if you have put your faith in Him. We died with Him and we are raised to new life in Him. He delivers us from sin. Call on the name of the Lord.

Learn to meet your needs first. Don't assume every thing you want is sin. Just because you have lust doesn't mean is sin. If you are hungry and you decided to buy a ham burger, is not sin. Just because you are hungry it's not sin. It depends whether what you do hurts you or others or not. But remember God's is there to heal you, love you and restore you. He is not there to point out your faults. God remember your sins no more

Wow. I think I just understood for the first time what Paul was talking about when he said that the law produces sin. It’s not some abstract idea, but really practicle. And to turn it around we could say the freedom from sin is to fully trust Gods grace (not only freedom form the consequences of sin when we die, but also freedom from having to do sin). Thank you!

Fully trusting God's grace will not defeat sin in our lives unless we understand that sin can only be overcome by loving something higher than sin. When Christ becomes the Object of our supreme love through faith in His ever-present spirit, only then can we overcome sin.

As far as Romans 7:20 is concerned I think that is a deep insight that only the person that is struggling with thier carnal nature can realise. When we recognize that the desires of the flesh is not really us, not our true selves but the conditioning of our fleshly/carnal mind, it becomes easier to overcome those desires. The Law is to show us what sin is and that we are all sinners that we might turn to Christ and His atoning sacrifice for our justification. As far as overcoming the sin in our lives we have to consciously fight against those desires and overcome those things that enslave us. Ultimately our salvation/justification is based on what Jesus did on the cross but we also have to be obedient as best we can to Christ's commandments. In the end we will all give an account for our actions, our deeds, but as long as we are living in repentance and living as Jesus teaches we do not have to worry about coming under condemnation for there is no condemnation for all who are in Christ.

@@sedrickcarterjr Where is he wrong? By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:19-22) For the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from the law of sin (Romans 7:23) and death. (7:24) (8:2-3) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So under the Law we serve God with the mind, but serve sin with the flesh. (7:25) But if you are lead of the Spirit you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:18) Paul said that right after he described the same struggle as in Romans 7 for those who do not walk in the Spirit (salvation /2 Corinthians 3:6) but fulfill the list of the flesh. Galatians 5 goes on to say that, “They that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” (V.24)

Fighting with myself, on what I don't want to do, keeps me from surrendering to Jesus first. My priorities are backwards. First be obedient, and surrender to the Potters Hands, to be molded for his will, way, and purpose, and those things I struggle with, will fade away. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another-to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. Romans 7:4‭-‬6 NKJV For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:4 NKJV

Paul was writing as one under the Law. If Paul wrote Romans 7 showing a Christian's battle with sin, then the "law of the spirit of life in Christ" had NOT set him free from the "law of sin and death"! Rather, not being under the law but grace sets us free.

If Romans 7 is to be taken as the battle of the Christian, it undermines and contradicts the message of the Gospel. Are we not dead to sin in Christ? Did the not die to take away our sin? If we are the temple of the Living God, can the Holy Spirit dwell where sin reigns? When Paul says "Be ye followers of me, even as I also of Christ." Are we to take him on his words in Romans 7? Would this mean that Jesus was also a Sinner? I think not. To say, "be like me as I am like Christ" is a Bold

No... Paul did not struggle with sin... He is a kind of a truimphant Christian... The true life of Paul is in Chapter 8. What he used in Romans Chapter 7 is just an EDITORIAL I in doing his writing in that particular chapter. He only spake as some kind of a defeated Christian in this particular latter passages in Chapter 7 of Romans. If you will examine Paul's writings to the rest of his epistle's you will be amazed that even he was already imprisoned he speaks with so much courage, boldness, joy, hope, and full of confidence in God's grace. Paul was a victorious Christian, he did not struggle with sin. He wrote chapter 7 of Romans just to describe how pityful, awful and wretched when someone is being under the curse of law. But we are not under the law, we are now living in the grace of God thru Christ. Romans Chapter 1 begins with, Romans 8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We are all hypocrites and the instant we say otherwise it is proven.( did you feel the instant defensiveness reading that) Don't fight it in despair but understand their is no condemnation. Focus on your relationship with god and transformation continues by his saving grace. ' Don't be like the hypocrite' and ' go, sin no more' means that you are genuinely walking each day with him, his forgiveness and loving guidance. Here though Paul shows that in our journey we can trip up and also must forgive ourselves. This message is simple but people confound it because they fight their nature with pride instead of daily humility. If we do this we stand in the esteem of knowing how much god loves us and how we need his precious love. ( I pray this helps someone reading this)

Then why do we still struggle with besetting sins, not being a jerk, but if you’re a alcoholic, just quitting that sin is impossible and dangerous without outside help. Bottom line is, we ALL struggle with sin and will continue to until we die, to not sin sometimes is wayyyyy harder than what you just taught, unless of course we’re deceiving ourselves and really think we don’t practice sin in any way shape or form.

You need to see the grace of God that way: Titus 2:11-14 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 *instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;* 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might *redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.* If the grace of God instructs you to say 'No' to sin, then that part is up to you, and that is why the grace of God can be received in vain by someone who does not use it for what it's given for (e.g. 2 Corinthians 6:1). NB I am just responding to your comment, not endorsing the message given in this video.

This was a past struggle for Paul. He is explaining what the struggle is. If we use law against sin we die spiritually. When we sin, we are to rely on the atonement of Christ, The cross of Christ where he took on the sins of the world. Alagory; The woman is the soul, the husband is the flesh.

Another amazing teacher, not as famous on earth, but certainly known in Heaven, is Dan Mohler. There are somethings Andrew hasn't experienced yet or I truly believe he would know that healing is absolutely God's will and that Jesus teaches we should be laying hands on people who need healing. I am just getting the revelation of this myself, and know it is to come naturally from intimate relationship with God, and learning to love as He loves is of paramount importance, but LOVE in Christ, gives me faith to keep growing in all the paths of Jesus as I follow HIM.

Grace + Law ="s Galatians 5:4. Soon to follow works of the flesh 5:19-21 which was Pauls experience in Romans 7:5-11. Legalism (mixing law/Grace) always produces coveting as Paul discovered in Romans 7. Its the one commandment you cant externalize (obey on the outside). The 10 th commandment was what Jesus used to expose the rich young ruler's claim that he kept the law (the 10 commandments since his youth). In this case Jesus used the law as it was designed for: To expose one as a sinner. The law exposes anyone's claims they are righteous. The law is designed to drive us to despair of human effort. Once this occurs we throw up our hands and cry out like Paul. We are now ready to receive Christ.

Hi Andrew Farley Are you saying that when Paul says in Romans 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. And again in verse 20. That because he is under grace and not under the law, that he is innocent? Just like a splinter you suggested for an analogy. That the splinter is the cause for the pain. It sounds like you are saying that sin nature that is still within the believer is the blame for wilfully sinning. Is that correct?

@@steviet3995 I suggest you do the same. If you think it's something that you do yourself you are mistaken. Salvation is a gift from God for believing. Do you think the the thief on the cross who got saved did any good work at all? He believed and was saved. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. If you think you are contributing to your own salvation by doing or not doing ANYTHING you are in error. I'm not denying that we should walk after the Spirit and do our very best not to sin and follow Him and obey His commands. BUT - our own works do not save us. Even Paul told the church to turn over the fornicating man to Satan and at the end his works would be burned up but he would be saved.

@@Starbuckin Do you think the Lord requires only believe in him?Or does he also require us to repent of our sins.(meaning to change our minds about sin, and to stop sinning). I believe he requires both to believe on him, and repent (of sin). Alot of Christians believe that repentance is to, repent of your unbelief. A Muslim is an example of unbelief, unbeliever in Jesus. The Jesus they believe is a prophet. So they believe in a works based Salvation, because they don't believe in the gospel of Christ. And then at the other end of the scale you have Christians who believe in the gospel of Christ, then walk after the flesh. Who haven't repented, turned from sin in there lives. Jesus said repent, and believe the gospel. If we only had to believe to be saved, Jesus would have said, believe in the gospel. But he didn't,he said repent first, then believe the gospel.

I bet most of you don’t even know the law or take time to study it under rabbis who spend their whole lives teaching it. I’ll bet you listen to gentile pastors on Sunday trying to explain the law in their own theology in order to further the agenda. I can fully tell you that there are more theological holes in the New Testament than Swiss cheese. Go watch jews debate Christians. Absolutely destroys them. Almost all of you have no idea what the law really means.

Romans 7 explained : (1.) The woman is Israel and the husband is the mediator/protector/HUSBAND , for the people ( Israel ) , in the covenant with the Father . (2.) The Israelites who refused to live by faith ( That is repenting of their sins with a sorrowful heart , like king David did ; then believing by keeping the commandments of their mediator Moses ; which he received from the Father ; which is the law of faith ) , these fell under their mediator Moses protection ; under the sin sacrifice of atonement ; which the Father gave through a priesthood , the law of animal sacrifice ; which is the law of works . (3.) So then if , while her husband Moses liveth , she be married to another man , she shall be called to an adulteress ; but if her husband ( Moses ) be dead ( Hebrews 7:11-12 ) , she is free from that law ; so that she is no adulteress , though she be married to another man ( Jesus Christ ) . (4.) Wherefore , my brethren , ye also are become dead to the law ( animal sacrifice and oblations for atonement ) by the body of Christ ( repenting of your sins , and believing by obedience , the law of faith ) , even to him who is raised from the dead , that we should bring forth unto God ( 1 John 1:5-7 ) . (5.) For when we were in the flesh ( law of works , or law of animal sacrifice , or circumcision of flesh for sin through the priesthood of Leviticus ) , the motions of sins ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) , which were by the law ( Hebrews 10:1-4 ) , did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death . (6.) But now we are delivered from the law ( law of works , or law of animal sacrifice ; which was also called the law of sin and death ) , that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit ( circumcised of heart for sin ) , and not in the oldness of the letter ( law of works , or circumcision of flesh for sin , through the priests , in the book of Leviticus ) .

(7.) What shall we say then ? Is the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) ? God forbid . Nay , I had not known sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgression of the law of God ) , but by the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) : for I had not known lust , except the law ( law of animal sacrifice or the law of sin and death ) had said , Thou shalt not covet ( Romans 3:20 , Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight : for by the law is the knowledge of sin ; Hebrews 10:1-4 , " 1. For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 3. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ) . (8.) But sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) , taking occasion by the commandment ( law of animal sacrifice , or another name is ; the law of sin and death ) wrought in me all manner of concupiscence ( Romans 5:20 , " Moreover the law entered , that the offence might abound . But where sin abounded , grace did much more abound " ) . For without the law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) was dead ( Romans 5:13, " For until the law ( law off animal sacrifice ) sin ( the transgression of the law of God ) was in the world ( which entered into the world when Adam transgressed against the law of God ) : but sin ( the transgression of the law of God ) is not imputed ( represents something undersirable as been done , caused or possessed by someone ) when there is no law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) . What Paul is saying : Before the law of animal sacrifice was given through the mediator Moses for the sin of the flesh/body , the God of Israel required all to repent with a sorrowful heart , like king David did , through faith ; remember , grace by faith ; the priesthood of faith ( Melchisedec ) has always been available from the beginning , for the one's who live by faith . There is no grace or mercy through the law of animal sacrifice ,and some transgressions against the laws of the Father , there were no sacrifice to protect the flesh/body ( man picking up sticks on the sabbath day ) . ( 9.) For I was alive without the law once : ( law of animal sacrifice , or schoolmaster ) but when the commandment came ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) , sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) revived , and I died ( Ezekiel 20:24-25 , " Because they had not executed my judgments , but had despised my statutes , and had polluted my sabbaths , and their eyes were after their father's idols . Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good , and judgments whereby they should not live " ) . And the commandment ( circumcision of the flesh/body for sin , or the law of animal sacrifice ) which was ordained to life ( keep the earthly tabernacle or body alive ) , I found to be unto death ( law of animal sacrifice could not forgive you of the heart/spirit , or the second tabernacle , or the second death ) . ( 10.) For sin ( 1 John 3:4 ,the transgressions of the law of God ) taking occasion by the commandment ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) , deceived me , and slew me ( most of Israel believed that salvation came through the law of animal sacrifice , or the law of works , or another name was the law of Moses ; because Moses was the intercessor , or husband for the people under the covenant with the Father , through the priesthood of Leviticus ) . (11.) Wherefore the law ( animal sacrifice and oblations , or law of works ) is holy , and the commandments ( schoolmaster , or animal sacrifice ) holy , and just and good . ( 12.) Was then that which is good ( law of animal sacrifice or circumcision of flesh for sin ) made death unto me ( this sacrifice or atonement was for the earthly tabernacle , not th heavenly tabernacle ) ? God forbid . But sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) , that it might appear sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) ,working death in me by that which is good ( Hebrews 10:4 , " For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins " ; which the law of animal sacrifice was also called the law of sin and death . Once you transgress the laws of God , your circumcision is made uncircumcision , Romans 2:25 ) ; that sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the laws of God ) by the commandment ( law of animal sacrifice ) might become exceeding sinful ( Romans 5:20 ) . ( 13.) For we know that the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) is spiritual : but I am carnal sold under sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) . For that which I do I allow not :for what I would , that do I not ; but what I hate , that do I ( What Paul is saying , when he should keep the laws of God , that he do not ; when he go through the law of animal sacrifice for the atonement of sin , that he should not do ; but what he hate ( law of animal sacrifice ) , that do I . ( 14.) If then I do that which I would not ( make an atonement through the law of animal sacrifice ) , I consent unto the law ( law of animal sacrifice ) that it is good ( which was only for the atonement of the flesh/body , not the heart/spirit ) . ( 15.) Now then it is no more I that do it , but sin ( 1 John 3:4 , the transgressions of the law of God ) that dwelleth in me . For I know that in me ( that is in my flesh ) dwelleth no good thing ( the circumcision of flesh for sin ) : for to will is present with me ; but how to perform that which is good I find not . ( 16.) For the good that I would I do not ( repenting by faith , the law of Christ ) : but the evil which I would not , that I do ( atonement through the law of works , or animal sacrifice ) . ( 17.) Now if I do that I would not ( atonement through the law of animal sacrifice ) , it is no more I that do it , but sin ( 1 John 3:4 , transgressions of the law of God ) that dwelleth in me ( law of animal sacrifice could not forgive you of the sins of the heart/spirit , because it was not of faith ) . ( 18.) I find the a law ( law of animal sacrifice , or law of sin and death ) , that , when I would do good ( go through the law of animal sacrifice for the atonement ) , evil is present with me ( law of works could not free you of the sins of the heart/spirit ) . ( 19.) For I delight in the law of GOD after the inward man ( law of faith , circumcision of the heart for sin ; which means that you repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart , then believe by obeying your mediator Jesus Christ commandments ; which he received from the Father ) . ( 20.) But I see another law in my members , ( law of animal sacrifice ; which the Israel continued to use for the cleaning of the body , not for SIN ; that became unclean due to touching a dead body , etc... ) , warring against the law of the mind ( circumcision of the heart/spirit for sin , or the law of Christ , or the law of grace , or the law of liberty , or the law of righteousness , or the law of faith , etc... ) , and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) which is in my members . ( 21.) O wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the body of this death ( law of animal sacrifice , or the law of sin and death ) ? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord ( circumcision of the heart for sin ) . So then with the mind ( The atonement of faith through Jesus Christ ) I myself serve the law of God (The commandments of the Father ; which includes all the covenants ; which are instructions to righteousness ) ; but with the flesh the law of sin ( the law of animal sacrifice for the cleaning of the flesh/body , when it becomes unclean ) . When we use the word law , understand that the bible talks of three types of laws ( 1.) Laws of the Father ; which are his commandments/laws/instructions , that includes all the covenants that he has given man from the beginning ( Adam ) to the end of the creation ( white ; throne judgment ; these are instructions for righteousness ( 2 Timothy 3:14-17 ) ; (2.) The law for the atonement of sin of the flesh/body , through the mediator Moses ; which was called the law of animal sacrifice and oblations through works , not of faith or the inward man ; (3.) The law for the atonement of sin of the heart/spirit , through the mediator Jesus Christ ; which was called the law of faith ; the blood of Christ through faith ; which is to repent of your sins with a sorrowful heart , then believe by keeping the commandments of your mediator Jesus Christ ; which he received from the Father . MATTHEW 7:16-20 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Dear friend I hope your righteousness does exclude that of the Scribes and Pharisees because that only happens when you(we) are IN CHRIST :) The scripture you are citing here is "pre-death, pre-burial and pre-resurrection" teaching to religious Jews enlightening them that their righteousness is as "filthy rags" in regards to attaining eternal life. It's important to realize the context here. He is speaking to Jews who are still under the law-Old Covenant. Thank God for the new!

Reprent 1107 unfortunately omits the rest of the gospel which shows the following: Christ fulfilled the Mosaic law so we could be free from its obligations (In Romans Paul tells that law and our old self was nailed to cross with Christ and now we are called to live by a new law of the Spirit which is faith expressing itself in love. We are free not to live for ourselves but as living sacrifices for his glory.

Romans 7 is the struggle of the Jew under the law. Read chapter 6 through 8:4 and you’ll discover the truth. Don’t buy the Calvinist lie the truth will set you free. Romans Chapter 7 “Know ye not brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?” (Romans 7:1) Many have used this chapter to try to prove that Paul was never completely free from sin actively working in him. Let us more closely examine this text and find out clearly, and without a doubt, what he is really saying here. Paul continues his thought in verses 2 & 3 by equating the bondage to the Law of Moses to the bonds of matrimony. Only the death of the husband frees a wife to remarry. Similarly only the death of the law, by our death with Christ, frees us from its bondage. Our death in Christ frees us from the slavery to sin, as explained in Romans 6:3-7. It thereby frees us to be married to Him who was raised from the dead, so that we can bring forth fruit unto God. (See Galatians 5:22-24) The next two verses are crucial to understand. “For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the Law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the Law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” (vs5&6) Notice that verse 5 is totally in the past tense and verse 6 clearly shows our situation in the present. Now just because the followers of the law had sin working in them doesn’t mean that the law itself was sinful or in any wise evil, but it was given to teach people what is good moral and right, but because man was by nature himself sinful, the Law only served to show him his insufficiency to keep it. This is the lesson of verses 7-13. In verse 14 Paul caps off his thought by using the first person singular as a hypothetical example. Who better could do this than Paul who was a scholar in the study of the Law, and experienced this struggle in his own life prior to his conversion? In this discourse Paul said that he understood the law to be spiritual, but a man sold under sin (under the Law) is carnal, (vs.14) hence the struggle. Many so called scholars have used verse 14 to say that even in his regenerated state; Paul was still a carnal man, sold under sin. To show that this is untrue it is important that we look at the consistency of teaching throughout the scriptures, concerning bondage, or slavery, to sin, and the freedom that is in Christ. To be sold under sin is to be its slave. Jesus said: “…He that commits sin is a slave to sin.” (John 8:34) Romans 6:17&18 says that we were slaves to sin before we obeyed the doctrine that was delivered to us, being then made free from sin we became slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:6 says that since we’ve been baptized we no longer are slaves to sin, and verse 7 says that we are freed from sin. There are numerous other scriptures throughout the New Testament that show that we as believers are not sold under sin but, “ye are bought with a price.” (I Corinthians 6:20) In verses 15 through 21 Paul continues his first person, experience based, thesis explaining that while under the Law, no matter how hard he tries, or how strong his intentions to do what is right, he always finds himself a failure, and it’s all because of the law of sin (or the motions of sin [verse 5]) within him prevents him from keeping the holy, just, and good Law. So we see that we have two laws in conflict. “For I delight in the Law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the Law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” (Romans 7:22&23) The law in verse 22 is the Law of Moses; the law in verse 23 is the law of sin that we inherit from Adam. “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Romans 7:24) Verse 24 is a cry for help in this situation, concluding in verse 25 with the solution and a synopsis of the matter. “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I serve the Law of God: but with the flesh the law of sin.” Notice that in verse 23 he is in captivity (slavery) to the law of sin and in verse 24 he cries out to be delivered from the body of death. “There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the LAW OF SIN and DEATH.” (Romans 8:1&2) So now we see a new third law, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, which breaks the power of the law of sin and death. This shows conclusively that Paul was not referring to the normal experience of the believer in Romans 7:7-24, but rather the experience of any sincere person desiring to please God while still being bound by the law of sin working in his members. This is a person in need of salvation, to be born again and have the body of sin, that rules him, destroyed. (Romans 6:7&8) Then his old experience can become the NOW experience of Romans 8:1&2, and Romans 7:6 which tells us, “But NOW we are delivered from the Law, that being dead wherein we were held: that we should serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”

What does that mean that Jesus is enough just because Jesus could do it doesn't mean that I can do it for I'm Not Jesus and the only laws that Jesus wanted you to follow is to love God with all your heart mind soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself what is sin? Well that depends in which culture you were brought up in just because your culture May believe something is wrong does not mean that another culture believes that that very same thing as wrong. sin is an offense to your conscience or the Holy Spirit.

We are born into the fall and with a fallen nature and thus we have ALL grown up home schooled in self centered mindsets, and must be born again, and be renewed in our way of selfish thinking, sinful lusts, and all the yuck that is trying to stick to us. God freed us but we who seek to know Father God and seek to know what Jesus Christ taught, we will be transformed, from grace to grace. Love never seeks it's own, takes no account of suffered wrongs, love IS the fruit of the Spirit of Christ in us. When I died to selfishness I began to grow Spiritually more than the previous 17 years of being a believer. Check out Dan Mohler's teachings too.

PAUL IS ADDRESSING SPECIFICALLY UNTO CONVERTED JEWS Romans 7:1-4 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. ROMANS SEVEN IS TELLING THE CONVERTED JEWS THAT WHEN THE WORD OF GOD-GOD DIED ON THE CROSS THEY WERE RELEASED FROM THE MOSAIC LAW AND COULD BE MARRIED UNTO CHRIST FOR GOD HAD DIVORCED ISRAEL FOR HER ADULTERY THEN PAUL CONTINUES TO SPEAK UNTO' THOSE WHO KNOW THE LAW THOSE CONVERTED FROM MOSAIC LAWS CONCERTED GENTILES WERE NOT SPOKEN AGAIN UNTIL ROMANS 11
