Stephen Wiltshire is probably the closest example I've seen to a true photographic memory, but it's not perfect.

I hadn't heard of him - really interesting, thanks for the comment!

I was just about to say this... He's had his ability his whole life so it's kinda hard to say that its the result of training and practice.

I don’t have a particularly remarkable memory but it’s happened to me a handful of times in my life. I was able to go back to a moment and kinda freeze an image of it and in a couple cases even read things visible and recall more detail than I could if I was in the room today. Totally random and not something I’ve controlled except once.

As logical as saying, No vehicle can travel at the speed of light, therefore all vehicles are equally fast.

@@Mz-ls4uy "......chess grandmasters are often relying on a learned ability to organize information rather than an innate skill." "...... anybody who seems to have an amazing memory has just built it up through training and practice." Ive heard that memory champions use techniques like they are advertising. I've no problem with it-- I know some insist these techniques enable them to remember more info. Now some are born with amazing memories completely aside from techniques. Techniques cannot turn a low memory into a high-performing memory. I do not possess a great memory, regrettably mine is the reverse. I've tried techniques, probably like this and found it too difficult to remember, to mentally keep track of. Still Im open to the possibility someone with a much better memory than mine could find it helpful to maximize memory performance.

Not hating but I feel like dude jus read a paper and thought he had an ahha moment dude I live with remembers everything to the level that it annoys him somtimes and he’s super super experienced with life like documentable and it’s so weird the level of detail and the way he describes things and when and yeah and on top of that the many many jobs he’s worked in exotic places and other interesting places Any lesson he teaches me he he makes clear where he recalled the information from (location, time, what led up to it, why he was there, even more etc)
@tanatokshorts95626 ай бұрын
We was talking on day 3 of staying with and he was giving me so many lesson And it was weird and cool how within every minute it would be a new lesson and each time he’d say he was working this place working that place within 3 hours he had already gave me a life lesson based of experiences from like 40-90 different jobs he worked 😂 that’s just what related to the kind of lessons he was teaching but at the same time every bit of it was said in a charismatic way He likes to educate especially when it comes to crypto which he’s retired from but still does every single day only works for his weed very happy dude But that’s enough boasting about my neighbor/ temp roommate
