When we are immersed/ baptized we receive the gift of God's Spirit.

Baptism awakens the power of the Holy Spirit to make us victorious in life. If we are true Christians, we want to die to sin and live in victory.

God is doing a spiritual work in baptism. It is important and not simply a symbol. The apostles and early christians taught that baptism was the actual regeneration and a true “new man” emerges from the water. Also, any lingering demons were driven out. If you go to Acts 19 Paul met those believers who were confident about the baptism of John and that it was enough for them! Paul asked them if they had received the Holy Ghost since they believed! They responded and said we have not so much as heard if there be any Holy Ghost. And Paul said unto what were you baptised? And they said unto John's baptism! And he told them what kind of baptism John was doing and that they needed to be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ!

Sorry for the late response, but if I were you I would try my best to get baptized as soon as possible. You’ve heard the message, believed, had faith, now the bible calls for you to be baptized for forgiveness of sins. I would look for a church near you who can baptize you, I recommend ICC or ICOC / any restoration church.

Just remind yourself that God loves you and at the end you'll be in heaven w him eternity. Focus on Jesus ✝️🙏

When you keep reading to verse 40: "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation." Peter is warning this generation, because of Crucifying the Messiah (Christ) they would suffer with others who didn't Repent. Some 40 years later, 1.2 million Jews Died when the Temple was destroyed by the Roman Empire. The Jewish believers were able to escape a few years earlier by heeding the Words Jesus had said about the future destruction. PETER, talking to the House of Israel say's "Save Yourselves". That is not the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. Peter was telling them to REPENT and be saved from this "untoward" (crooked; perverse) generation. This generation that would Perish along with the Destruction of the Temple in AD 70. Matthew 23:34-36. LUKE 19:41-44. Also you will see the same action from Paul, who is told by Ananias saying; "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord" in Acts 22:16. No one can (wash away their own sins) for Eternal Life. SHALOM...

all baptisms that a person experienced or may still experience will still be void if that person will be baptized in a false church. the only baptism that is valid is the baptism in the true church of God. for example, a baby was born in a catholic family, so of course that baby will suddenly be baptized in the catholic church. then when that baby grows up and becomes a teenager, his/her peers may influence him/her to another church then subject again to another baptism, leaving the catholic church. then time goes by, that grown up person decides to join another church then decides to be baptize again, and so on. so even if that person submits to baptism a lot of times in false churches, all those baptisms are not valid. let me know if you have clarifications.

The thief on the cross had died before the new covenant. He was under the same covenant as Abraham and other bible figures who were saved by faith. After Jesus's perfect sacrifice we are called to hear the message, believe the message, repent, and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins and receival of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

Peter doesn't say be water baptized, baptism can mean spiritual baptism. What about people who have death bed conversions, and are not able to be baptized? It is Faith alone that saves - Ephesians 2; 8-9, Romans 10; 10-13. Baptism is a work that you do to show publicly you have made the choice for Jesus.

Please understand that in order to be saved, it's not about baptism. To be saved you have to come to the understanding that you are a sinner and that if you died you would go to Hell. To be saved, first the Holy Spirit needs to convict you of your sins (make you aware that you are a sinner) and then by faith you ask God to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to save you. If you believe that God sent His Son Jesus into this world to die on the cross for your sins and then defeat death by rising from the tomb then you can be saved by calling on His name and asking forgiveness and to for him to save you.

You are saved by grace thru faith. That is God's grace thru your faith which is to say you believe in God and that you must be saved in order to get to Heaven. The baptism itself is purely symbolic and is not the act that saves you. Confessing your sins and calling on God to save you is what gives you salvation.

Baptism is NOT required for salvation. You receive salvation when the Holy Spirit convicts you of your sins (makes you realize you are a sinner) and you then ask God for forgiveness and ask Him save you. If you believe that God sent Jesus into this world to die for your sins and that he actually did die on the cross and rose again then you are saved. I used to believe in once saved always saved, but I learned that this belief was not held by (to my knowledge) any of the early Christians. They all believed that our salvation can be lost in this life if we fall away from Christ. I mean this with love. If we believe once saved always saved then we are not sharing the same faith as the early Christians.

Yes you are absolutely saved once and once only. There’s no need to get “saved” multiple times because Jesus died ONE TIME for sins. You can’t lose your salvation if you’re truly saved. John 10:29 NKJV My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand.
