Great documentary, with life the way it is now in the world these nomadic people have always known the secret to life.

I keep coming back to watch over and over this documentary because it is so truthful to my soul with the noble and enriched journey of this community.

For me living like this place is the best than town and cities, because the air, food,many peoples brain isn't good because of the pollution,that is why bad people are rampant.many employer they make slave through the amall salary. The people this isn't slave because they don't have boss, they are the boss to their selves. Someday l will live like this place in Gods help. Watching from Philippines. God bless us. all.

I'm always heavy hearted when I hear that one of the Majestic Raindeer has to be put down because they must meet their rewards for serving this family so faithfully. It is sad for me but the days creep upon these beautiful animals quietly. He will be remembered by this family andall he provided and the protection he created during his lifetime. This family will be thankful for his life. They will continue their trip looking for a land to set the chumbs and grazing for the Raindeer. His family will be left unprotected while he is gone. He must hurry!

Watching this brought a deep feeling of tranquility, wholesomeness, fulfillment, and family. Such a rewarding and peaceful documentary! This is how nature intended us to live; to thrive and reproduce. I find that the comforts of modern luxury distract from true purpose. To me, this seems like a much more appealing way of life. We used to depend on nature. Now we depend on industry. Nature gave back to us. Industry does not.

Bat owns a surplus, WW2 (probably) Soviet-built Mosin-Nagant sniper bolt action rifle. The giveaway is the turn-down bolt handle. The Russian rifle factories only used turned-down bolts for sniper rifle versions. All other Mosin-Nagant battle rifles had straight bolts. Even on the last Mosin-Nagant version, the 1944 carbine version with 20-inch barrel, used a straight bolt. Bat does something that would horrify safety-trained American firearm owners. He puts the barrel in his mouth and blows through it like a horn. I bet your typical American responsibly trained firearm user will ensure his children never see that part of the video. Other than that, Bat is a real mountain man in the true sense of the word. He's no 6'2" muscle-bound MMA fighter but he's tougher inside and out than any of them. That kind of hard life-style can only produce hardened, stoic men. And guys like that don't anticipate living to age 80 or older.
