Congrats on your tune too! Did you make any modifications to the suspension? Have you done anything inside? Take care

Nice overview video Thanks! Great job pointing out what the extra width does and does not mean overall between the wheels as I've seen many comments around concerns for use in tight spaces. What I have not seen yet with others M1 owners is much discussion around if they've had challenges or issues not utilizing the sides for extra equipment (like rotopax, mounting jacks, stuff you would normally see). It does come down to efficient and lean packing of course or perhaps future need for a robust rear bumper setup. What are your thoughts thus far around mounting equipment one might normally do with bed racks or more tapered camper/canopy topper arrangement? I also look forward to any updates you share around your interior build out, cabinets, etc. Thanks again for the overview!!

Thanks! And great questions. I recently mounted an awning and I will be mounting other items as well. We have been working on a couple of prototype storage cabinets for the inside. Several videos about them will be coming out over the next few weeks. Yes I agree a lot of it comes down to packing and gear efficiency only bringing what you really need especially on a midsize like the he gladiator. Full size rigs you can be a bit more sloppy with how you pack them. We also have talked about and my son is working on designs for exterior storage on the back and under the wings. We do have a lot of tight trails where we go with overgrown trails so it’s something to keep in mind. But even with the extra width of a he sides on the Gladiator your still narrower than bronco raptors and other full sized setups. Being able to easily mount stuff and easily remove it is key to me. So if I find myself in a situation where I’m to wide with something that is mounted I can easily put it in a be back until I’m past the obstacle. I’m have much more to say on this topic and I can see you are thinking about the right things! Keep watching please and follow us on Instagram we have some great things coming out! Take care!

Awesome walk through, thank you! What did you use for your flooring? What type of wood did you use for your bench?

I just used a composite laminate over a sheet of 1/2 inch plywood. I should have sealed the end of the plywood because of the water that comes in from the tailgate when driving in the rain. Otherwise I really like the results. It’s flat strong and easy to clean. I bought what was in the discontinued section of Home Depot so I paid 1.75 a sqr ft. You need 2 boxes even though you only use 1.5 for a gladiator sized bed. Thanks for watching!

I used select grade kiln dried red cedar that I plained down to a strong inch. It’s been great! I leave the under side unfinished so I still get the cedar smell which I like 👍

Thanks ! Still trying to work out schedule with our work. My son and I went in September and we saw a lot of Moose which was cool. Ideally I think August would be a great time. Have you been there and if so do you have a favorite time?

@@MojaveTrails yes been A few times, in fact we just pulled our backcountry campsites today for our September backpacking trip. I’ve been in august, it’s warmer, more mosquitoes and more people. After Labor Day is the best time of year out there, weather is most stable then as well. We pick up our tune M1 early July so yellowstone will be our first big trip using her as our home base.

I think i met you at Moore. It was just you and Sean/Shawn at the Tune display. Is that right? I ended up buying one for my 08 Tacoma DCLB. I'm interested in how you end up setting yours up.

Yes that was me congratulations! Do you know when you will get it installed? I’ll be sure to post my solutions here as well as my business site. I have multiple designs in mind I’m starting with a side lower cabinet on the passenger side. I want to make them modular and removable so I can change up my setup based on where I’m going for how long and how many people. Plus I need to be able to remove all of it so I can do truck stuff. It was great meeting you and enjoy your Tune!

Nice….how difficult is it to take on and off? I couldn’t keep it on all the time to big and bulky and looks ugly on the gladiator.
@MojaveTrails
@MojaveTrails 3 ай бұрын
First of all I think it looks fantastic on the Gladiator! You can take it off but you need to buy the hardware that supports the jack stands and they use different hardware to mount it if you’re going to remove it. I don’t know the costs on that but we do have some customers that remove them.

what is the weight? stock suspension? looks bigger than I thought it would.
@MojaveTrails

The 5 foot model starts at 340 lbs. I have added glass on 2 sides plus the front slider window and the Max fan. I am probably around 440. My suspension is still stock but I did add inner spring air bags in the rear. I am fine with how it rides for now, when I need to replace the shocks at around 80K miles I will consider other options.

@MojaveTrails thanks for the reply! Looks up my alley. I have 3 kids and our rtt setup just isn't enough room and I don't care to fool with an annex with our run and gun style. Only other concern is gvwr. We are all short so sleeping sideways would be a great way to fit us all in!

Not sure where your from I will be at the MOORE Expo this coming weekend April 19, 20 in the Tune booth across from the beer tent if you were able to see it in person! Otherwise I live in South Eastern WI if you ever want a walk through. Take Care!

no truma or insulation pack?
@MojaveTrails
@MojaveTrails 3 ай бұрын
I have the insulation pack but I have not installed it yet. I will for the fall since my son and I will be using it for hunting. Right now I use the buddy heater. I’ve camped two nights in the 30s with the heater running on low and the max air fan on 30% out and a small section of the screen open. It’s been very comfortable. That is without the insulation pack. I imagine if it gets below 30 I would want the insulation pack on and might need the truma heater. Thanks for watching!
