This book looks perfect for a 60-something returning to sewing after retirement. Tunics were one of the firsts on my to-do list. I'm thinking I need to try the scoop neck with ruffled sleeve for starters. Nice review!

I cannot wait to get this book! I love ALL the versions!! But I think I would first maxi length with the narrow neckline in some sort of fun knit fabric. But I also love both versions you ladies made and could easily see myself changing my mind and making one of them first! Both of your fabric selections are perfect for the style!!

Oh this looks so great. I am trying to sew more for myself as I have been sewing for my children for years. This would be great cause I could get the fit once and have so many options to make each piece look different. I would do the v neck with ruffles. Then try the basic in a wool for the cold winters of in the west. Thank you so much for the review.

What a great concept. I like the versatility and it would work for my daughter and myself. It also seems like you could make it work year round, at least here in southern Texas. At first glance I think I would love to try out the one that Abbey is wearing because I almost strictly wear v necks, but maybe with sleeves and a tie at the waist, for Fall. Oh I love this idea! A whole book dedicated to tunics woohoo! After two back to back pregnancies and the last being a csection tunics are the perfect school run outfit. Cute shoes and a necklace and you are out the door! I've never done sleeves like Lindsey is wearing and I actually have two other patterns featuring that look so maybe I need to give that a try....but then again my 4 year old saw Abbey and said "oh that's for me momma that's beautiful" so the neckline detail on that version may have to be made too! Anything with ruffles is good right?! I'm going to have to get my hands on that book soon 😀

Like the top and dress. Changing the garment as you want can allow one to make many outfits. would love to have the book. I've been sewing from the age of 10 yrs. I'm much older than that now. Not giving up my age not yet. I do change my patterns around a lot. I also make a lot or free hand a lot of what I want, with out a pattern. That comes from sewing for many years. It works for me. Later SC, I'm in Georgia. I know just how hot it is down here in the south. Nice long summers. I like that when it comes to making my outfits, I can keep it light a lot longer. Later.
