@@AshJae that’s not true at all. there were many small town outrages over kidnappers or child killers way before then, around the 70s and 80s, but without widespread news about it it wasn’t as understood. people knew it was unsafe to let their kids out alone, they just make bad choices. the parents & our society should take some effing responsibility

@@floral-smoke yes! It was awful. The way not only the entertainment industry but the media ruined that girl’s mental health shakes me to my core. The 90s and 00s will always be remembered, for me at least, as the era of hounding young women, treating them like crap and expecting them to starve for an ideal body image. You’re so right though, I think with social media nowadays and women speaking up more, they take less shit from the men in charge but it’s still very much remnant of 20/30 years ago (god sake I can’t believe the 90s was so long ago I can’t 😂)

I feel like Conan is aware and tries to present problems in a way that doesn't cause panic, more so presents them in light of comedy in hopes to get people to reflect. But the fact he pointed out the weirdness of the trailer scene was nice but also very dystopian. I did acting school when I was younger. They normalized kissing and sexual scenes as just work. They teach you to completely remove emotion from your true self, you're only the character. Lots of brainwashing and grooming.

I believe she fell off and could've still been big if her mother didn't screw her over. You can keep saying no to everything because "my daughter is worth more". But after a while you have to say yes to something. She didn't do movies or made an album for years while she could have. Btw you can be as big as Hilary but saying no to Disney a company that basically owns Hollywood might not be a smart move by that "smart" mother.

I remember being a teenager around this time and how so many underage female celebrities were openly called jail bait in the media! There also used to be count downs to female celebrities 18 birthdays when they would be finally legal. It was vile! Looking back how that effected us, seeing all that stuff in the media, its no wonder girls our age were so sexualised and desperate for guys attention. All our self worth was evaluated on what men thought of us and girls used to physically attack each other in school and at teen discos because we were all brainwashed into hating each other.
