I think Training day and his earlier freestyles where he is super young are a great way to get into him, then react to current* to see progression To add an edit: his music is typically released in between prison stints, which he has many. Can totally hear and see the change from release to release.

You gotta give him more context, Rapman made a mini 🎬 with rap lyrics that tell the story here and there. 3 parts (15-20min each) its so good that Jay-Z signed him to Rocknation. Scru is on a perfect run with legendary freestyles right now so save that Shiro story for the dry season

I've been listening to potter since around the time he dropped his first training day mixtape and if you go back to any year between now and then (2013) there's a comment under that thing saying 3 potter. considering how much time he's spent locked up it's kind of amazing how much music he's been able to put out. especially since according to him he wasn't really taking it that seriously until he finished his last sentence in 2020

Rap in tha UK started around 1987 although MC's have been around way b4 that cause jus like NY tha early sound systems were Jamaican (Kool Herc) remember London born Slick Rick took London's Saxson Sound System style from tha early 80's and changed rap for ever and the Tunnel club was also set up by someone from London, we've always been there.You can react to tha demon boyz track Glimity Glamity from 30 years ago, you can hear tha yardie/cockney style of rap, jus a little history lesson for ya.
