This is the best of two worlds between a classic cream cheese pound cake and my famous not Yo mama’s banana pudding. Try it and come testify, lol.
INGREDIENTS I USED
For the cake
3 Cups AP Flour
3 Sticks salted butter
1 (3.4oz) pack of Instant Banana Cream Pudding Mix
1 Tsp Baking Powder
2 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 block (4oz) of Cream Cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup heavy whipping cream
6 Eggs
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Banana Extract
For the Banana Cream Frosting
1 3.4oz box instant vanilla pudding mix1 1/4 cups cold whole milk1 cup Cool Whip (40z whipped cream)
4 oz cream cheese
1-2 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
For Garnishing
Freshly sliced bananas
Crushed Nilla Wafers
Whole Nilla wafers
Whole Pepperidge Chessmen butter cookies
Prepress the frosting hours prior and refrigerate to thicken up.
Bake at 325 degrees for 80-90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean! This is a big cake so it takes a while to bake at a lower temp.
