One thing to keep in mind. With one 16 or 24-cell charger, if the charger or adapter dies, you're kinda stuck. With two or three 8-cell chargers, poofing a charger slows you down, but it doesn’t stop you.

Good review. Have you looked into NiZn batteries? Your new charger can charge NiZn. They are 1.6v and remotes absolutely love them: won’t get any more problems with your Roku. The energy density of NZn is slightly lower than most NiMh (it is comparable to low self-discharge NiMh like eneloops) so less total life per charge. You won’t notice that on a remote, but you will notice it on your radio. A 10 pack of 1.2v 2,800 mAh NiMh is 33.6 Wh, an 8 pack of 1.6v 1,500mAh NiZn is 19.2 Wh. If you can do what you need to do on 19.2 Wh, managing batteries in sets of 8 is so much easier than sets of 10.

I got one yesterday I charged a bunch of my aa I had 4 of them that would not start or do anything - it would beep with green light keeps flashing I put them in the freezer for a couple of hours and now I am activating them and they are charging and discharging

What are your thoughts so far on this particular charger? I'm thinking about getting a charger for AA batteries, and I saw both this battery charger, and another similar battery charger by the same brand (c4 air and c4 evo models) but for a more diverse size range of batteries(with only 4 standard AA/AAA slots, with 2 slots for bigger batteries), and and was wondering about these kinds of chargers, since it's basically the same ROM/software package on all devices (minus c4 air, as it's controlled by phone app instead of a built-in screen) Aside from how you like it so far, I'm also wondering if you've worked out some tips and tricks with something like this, that might make this better than the standard simple "smart" chargers, or other chargers "included" with rechargeable batteries sometimes, when you buy them? I volunteer at my church and we go through 4 throwaway AA batteries every 2 weeks(sometimes 3 weeks for handheld), for both a headset mic and handheld mic,(2 in each unit) and was thinking that we could reduce the number of battery packs we buy drastically, from possibly 5-6 packs of at least 16 batteries a year, to at most 1 pack of 16 standard batteries for clocks, and an 8pack of rechargeable batteries (someone on KZfaq recommended eneloop branded Panasonic batteries for A/V use) so I have 4 as a backup and 4 in use at any given time. unless some other number of rechargeable batteries is recommended, of course. I honestly don't mind bringing the partially used batteries home to finish off in my Quest 2 controllers, but still, that's a lot of batteries to waste in a month, and I'd seriously like to try and cut that down some, if not a lot. Also, question on the content of this video... Do you only need to activate the batteries once, or do you activate them every time, and also, when you activate them, exactly how many times does it charge cycle the batteries, just once? Your video made it sound like it recharges the batteries 2-3 times(or more) during activation, which would (obviously) drain the number of average recharge cycles available, before projected battery usefulness ends(death?), fairly significantly if they were activated every usage, and during activation recharged more than the 1 time.(which is partially why I wanted clarification on that) Another thing I noticed in this video is that you covered different modes fairly lightly, and mainly just used it to show you charging batteries, which, while it IS what it's basically designed for, I still think it probably has more uses than that, if I'm not mistaken, such as battery health monitoring, and I'm looking for more information on what ELSE this kind of charger can do BESIDES the standard charging modes, and what else it might be good for. Again, I'm thinking of more professional use cases, therefore it would be a priority to know if there are any bad or failing batteries around, BEFORE they start being a problem...

Tried activation mode on some AAA batteries and they went up to 50c in temperature... Took them out just to be safe... Not sure if I'm doing something wrong

Does this charger let you set the charge precent so you can charge batteries to only 80%?

If you are use more batteries in a device, they will not discharge in the same way, depending on the resistance of the battery, the capacitance, and type of connection (serial or parallel). Then it should be preferable to discharge all the batteries before a new charge, otherwise you will face battery memory effect, that should not permit you to USA all the power of the batteries.
