Thank you! This. Video helped me identify my pretty big stomatella snail live rock hitch hiker! Was gonna kill it but I’ll try to catch it bc I have macro algae growing in the display but it seems to nit be killing any!

Didn't know those guys at 5:40 were Chiton lol I've seen them on my rock. This is some amazing info I'm surprised you don't have more subs. Nonetheless you just gained one!

Yea I didn’t know what they were at first either but they share the same shell characteristics as chiton so that gave me my conclusion. Also thank you I really appreciate it!

Thank you for all this info! Do Aiptasia harm fish? I recently found and removed two from a live rock that I got from a pet store.

They do have the potential to sting fish if they get too close however I believe it to be rare for them to kill. It may depend on the size of the aiptasia and fish however it’s unlikely. I’d be more worried about other corals that are within reach of the aiptasia since their sting can stress out corals to the point of death. Thank you for watching!

Bro wats the advantage of keeping both dead and live rock in marine tank.

By dead rock I’m assuming is the same as dry rock and the advantage to this is that you will not bring any unwanted hitchhikers or pests. The only downside is that not only does it not have the pretty pink/purple coloration that some live rock has, but it may need to be cured to prevent leaching ammonia and other toxins. Mixing both live rock and dead rock together will allow the bacteria to colonize the dead rock and help your tank cycle. When the dry rock becomes cured and has beneficial bacteria, then it will become live.
