This is why I love Blood Lance, lots of intricate mechanics interacting with each other while still having an intended focus on overpower damage. Bone Spear is getting kind of brain dead and too meta for me so I love the buff it has received. Hope Gorequill can stay after season 1.

Great guide - thanks Struth! Sacrilegious heart power fires off a corpse tendrils every few seconds (instead of per second as noted), but does seem to generate blood orbs. Also the decrepit aura works without decrip on bars as you have speculated. This build made me want to come back to necro after trying rogue..

i just finished level 1-45 with the "leveling" build you had posted and holy shit... it nuked everything and the capstone was a breeze. transitioning to this now.

My Pure Blood Build got alot better on this patch! I run all 5 Blood Skills and Iron Maiden, Blood Wave was surprisingly useful and with the Tidal Aspect i made it even better which basically made it a initiator to keep enemies away and tunneled for my Blood Lances, so with this new Quills Aspect im going to be able to not only reap the benefits of 9 Blood Wave Orbs from the distance, it will also increase my Lances and therefore my Damage... Damn i love my build! So glad i stuck with it.

Works great. Im on the eternal server so no awesome gems. Cant get over not having them after season end. Hopefully future seasons will work out the stash tabs and like poe allow for season materials post season to be added. Having said that, gore quill just dropped for me. Low roll of 38%. Still tried it. Was using your infinite blood surge build. So far i like this and it works well with essense regen. I havent swapped my paragon boards from the other build yet though. Anyways, i want to see if i can somehow fit aspect of the void and plunging darkness. That would help with lucky hits, survival, more essense, and grouping. I havent found how to fit it in yet though. I. Also curious how tidal with blood wave and potent blood would work using this concept to reduce cd by a lot and more blood orb gen. Works nicely as indicated in your build so far. I havent fully optimized and i dont have really great gear for rings and amulets so i have sacrifical still on the amulet (since it was there for the blood surge build. A max roll rathsma chosen on a ring along with 16 essense on blood orb pick up on ring eince i dont have another of those aspects so i can still test it out. Any reason for chosen over sacrifice on the amulet?? Any thoughts in general for those on eternal server with no gem access???

Hi Struth, about the gear, what weapon do you recommend? I think you missed that on the video, wand of sword? And also on the guide says the stats should be overpower dmg and all stats, but what about the other two?

when you use the new aspect and use the aspect that give mana back, its just crazy to see mana bar go up or hp if your low on that, only shame is the blocked spam you get rather often so much dmg lost to this. also i totally dropped bone storm for blood wave for more orb spam, and the aspect to lowere ulti cd with orbs is just gold now.

Been running this in S1 currently lvl 71. Using max roll potent blood, mothers embrace ring (core skill hits 5 enemies 40% resource cost refunded) Lucky hit chance to restore on focus. 3/3 grim harvest with the auto cast gem to explode corpses and spam tendrils, PLUS wrathful gem 19% chance to fully restore essence....When everything procs and its working the essence is infinite and its GLORIOUS. This build is crazy essence hungry though. Could definitely use another roll of chance to restore resource on my gloves. Even when it does run out of essence just spam explosion and basic attk for a second and it regens essence instantly. This build clears entire rooms of nightmare dungeons instantly. Most fun I've had on the game so far out of all the builds I've tried. My gear trash though and still needs a lot of work but this build min-maxed is going to be filthy. 10/10 highly recommend.

This interaction does work with Gore Quills. Working great as a leveling build so far.

Also I tested the tendril gem, works as you describe. Slightly slower cast time than corpse explosion. Like 1 sec vs 1.5-2 secs.

It's so funny how no one really used a blood Lance build because it would always mess up your game. But now they fixed that and people are now running it

i am 100% going to do this build. i was going to try out sever but that is still mostly theory crafting yet. this seems very solid indeed

Swapped to blood lance because I was intrigued by the skill, your guide was the best one I found kudos for that. Just a question regarding the build link, why do you put 1/5 in blood lance and 5/5 in blood mist? Does blood lance really not scale that well with skill points?

isnt the offhand aspect useless when the heart already triggers the corpses cuz the bloodmist needs to trigger the corpse to reduce the cd on it

Really love this build, it combines everything that I like about the necromancer, but I only have an eternal character, not seasonal. So I can not get the seasonal aspect required. But other than that I have everything needed for the build. Can the build still work relativelly well without the seasonal aspect, if so what could I use instead of the seasonal aspect?

the sacrilegious gem works with summoning minions as well, so bone mages dying and leaving a corpse basically resurrect themselves so hands free summoning. Aspect of explosive mist with corpse explosion seem to double the amount of corpse explosions while misted as well. So far the gems bring a ton of convenience to skills that seemed sort of weak on their own.

Do you guys have the issue where you set your rathmas vigor to line up with bloodmist only to have another blood skill consume the stacks (Auto attack i presume)? How to circumvent? Id love to have the stack consume be player enabled.

so i was reading that Blood Lance build is for players who are pretty smart with game mechanics and such....that said i love snorting lead based paint chips so should i avoid this or is it easy to pick up on the rotation and such?

Not running blood, but I do use blood orbs in my buiild for fortify. The corpse tendrils gem literally results in blood orbs ~everywhere~. If this was the eternal. realm, it'd be nerfed. It's really good. Especially since it doesn't trigger the cooldown. And, it's bonkers for corpse builds.

Gore Quills are either bugged or it sucks. Started this season with the exactly build in mind after watching you blood lance video a while ago. What is happening is that every lance that spawn from the blood orbs are being "blocked" by the mobs. So on my screen it only shows multiple "blocked" popups, tested it multiple times against different mobs, but ended with the same result. Huge let down in my opinion. Now to the good new, you don't need decrepify slot in your bar anymore, there the The Decrepit Aura (Brutal, Defensive): When at least 5 enemies are near you, gain an aura that automatically curses surrounding enemies with Decrepify for 5-15 seconds. And it works like a charm. Edit: I do have the Hungry blood aspect guys, it's most likely bugged.

How does this build compare to a bone spear build?

Has anyone else noticed that the patch notes for the hungry blood aspect says it increases the chance but they actually completely changed the aspect?

Ok I tested out the barber heart, it works great with this build as it helps a lot with single target dps. The last hit of the barber is crit with yellow text. I havent tested it out yet, maybe it works with corpse tendril x% crit damage? If so, grasping vines x90% crit dmg might be BIS in amulet for almost double damage

Hi there, Hope u can help me... The Chance of trigger overpowered is only 3% so how csn i do dmg all the time? Isnt it just a luckygame maybe u do dmg maybe not? I trying right know ur build, but have a lot of probs when i have only 1 enemy like a Boss.... i run out of Essenzen after a few bloodlance. What do i wrong ? U just cast while standing bit its impossible for me.... Im lvl 60 right know and do around 40k blue dmg 1 more Thing. Why do u have in ur build poins in Corps Explosion when u dont use it ?

the sacrilegious heart proc one corpse tendril every 5-6 seconds instead of 1 seconds. Maybe due to the animation of the previous corpse tendril. TESTED

Has anyone tested wrathful heart the great feast that x70-80% increased damage while no minions? Combine that with the heart reduce resource drain by 80-90%, the downsine is minimal. I dont know if it works with overpower damage. If so, its basically double our damage

if you want to be more tanky you can replace bone storm with your blood golem with the 15% damage absorption perk, with stand alone at 3 you take 30% less overall damage at all times instead of just in your ult. its also nice just to have a tanky mob take some agro

Corpse Tendrils will be cast once every 3 seconds. Corpse explosion every second.

I would use the deceprify heart. Keep deceprify skilled but you can remove it from the skill bar. Because the heart will use your skilled deceprify even if you dont have it in the skill bar. Use corpse explosion ( 1 point is enough) and put points in the corpse passive skills like essence or damage per corpse consumed. I noticed tendrils has a small cooldown so i let it spam corpse explosion to keep the passive skills on. Its very good because you dont need to pay attention if you have cast deceprify and corpse explosion. Thats how i build mine atleast.

why did you give it in the skill tree even though you didn't use the corpses explosion

Not a fan of Bone Storm, you want all the blood orbs you can get for Blood Lance imo. With the 2 extra waves aspect that's 9 blood orbs you can shoot from, and with ultimate CD aspect per blood orb you can proc it pretty frequently.

trying the build, and I think that your paragon points are not very efficient. Example - blood drinker gliph won't give fortify from orbs bonus since you don't have 40 intellect purchased around it. And with that buff you don't need points in Drain Vitality. Also would like to add that lance shines with blood seeker aspect - since it buffs every single lance you cast and proc with quils and hungry blood enourmosly on a crowd - quickly making the blood net of connected mobs' health (I tried with and without - great difference). Also the unique Blood Artisan is a must - helps with boss without adds - blood net lance damage and hungry blood are lacking without crowd. So I'd trade Rathma chosen to Blood seeker.

Why no blood seeker?

The corpse tendrils procs every 3 seconds if equipped. The corpose explosion procs every second.

The problem is that imperfect balance cant go up to 3 without a affix😢 Its now a lvl one passive. But i think only on the necro

Why only 1 Point in bloodlance?

Tested the tendril gem it's insane and will probably be patched :( it's freaking good and EASY TO get i got multiple. And it doesn't even use your standard cooldown! so you have a free one and can spam it again manually its insane.

What do i run for 1 through 50?

I can confirm that Gore Quills does proc Potent Blood. Need to find a way to proc unlimited blood orbs. Inbalmer could work with the new heart, however I haven’t been able to test it with tendrils yet.

i see that Imperfectly Balanced (passsive in core) is 3 point, but real in game is 1 point, let me know how to fix it bro

It's weird, because I'm getting a TON of "blocked" and "absorbed" when hitting the enemy with gore quill blood lances, like so much so it feels that it's bugged. Also, course tendrils has a 5 sec internal CD with the Mil heart for corpses.
