PSA: Gamer chairs are NOT for: -prolonged gaming sessions -good price/performance -longevity -comfort -good posture (supports barely hold in place) They are good for: +short racing sessions (2-3hrs) +regular cleaning (the fabric absorbs everything and you sweat more due to closed design) +light G-forces (when they hit, you wont fly out the seat. The sides hinder your arm movement) +looking like a gullible big baby in its toddler car seat The only reason people buy them is that other people buy them. They have no qualities of a good chair. Many reviews are bought one way or another. (f.e. giving you extended warranty for leaving positive review, sponsorships etc.) Its a huge scam. Just remember kids: "A Gamer with real meat - would never buy a toddlers seat!"

fantastic fucking video bro, I absolutely love how clean and orderly everything is. Truly meant to be a chair buying guide/resource, not a "video", and I love that. A ton of videos aren't timestamped and are all chaotically lumped together so you have to dig through to find anything, yours is just there, easily broken up so I can just see what I need, and reference back to it over time. Thanks so much, keep it up!

Hey just wanted to say I bought a Titan Evo thanks to your videos! I'm tall and really skinny and it ended being great! I'm planning on pulling the trigger on an Embody someday but it just wasn't in the budget this time. The world of good desk chairs is pretty crazy and you made my whole process of finding one really easy. So thank you!

I lile your reviews, thanks for making them. I would like to offer my 2cents about Hyken - I think you can safely recommend Hyken even for heavier folks. I bought my Hyken chair about 4-5 years ago and it is still going strong with the mesh looking pretty much like new - I am about 190lb and use the chair daily. After all this time, the only damage I see is the left armrest soft pad developed a little crack and will eventually crumble. I guess I will need to replace the pad. Otherwise, a great chair for the money.

Capisco has been perfect for me. I really don't like sitting still at all. So the huge number of different positions work great for me. I had an Aeron before and while it was okay for an hour so, it is not for a full workday. I am getting two different desks in the new home though. So there will need to be a second chair. I am leaning towards the Capisco on the work setup and either a second Capisco or an Embody on the more chill gaming/editing setup.

Great video, I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to a video like this, breaking everything down for people doing their research. I have questions for you or anyone else willing to help me. I worry a lot about making a big purchase like this, but I think it’s worth investing in a nice chair, I just need this to be the right purchase lol!!! About me: I’m 6’1 and weigh 140lbs. Definitely a skinny and lanky guy. Only ever owned real crappy office chairs. The chair I’m sitting in now is a really thin, old, and cheap chair. I’m looking for a premium chair that retains comfort after sitting for long periods of time. Even the chair I use now is fine until i’m sitting there for a few hours. But after 3 hours I literally can’t sit at my desk anymore, so that’s when comfort matters. I do have one experience/ frame of reference with a premium ergonomic chair. My first job ever I worked at a bank and I’m pretty sure we sat on Aeron’s. The chair I had there looked pretty similar to an Aeron and I’m pretty sure they were Hermann miller chairs.. they were definitely really nice chairs, and I would sit on that chair all day any day. I don’t work there anymore but I just remember that seat specifically blew me away, it was like sitting on a cloud. It was seriously ridiculously comfortable. I miss those damn chairs. I’m not 100% sure it was an Aeron but it probably was. Anyways, the biggest thing I’m care about is the comfort of the seat cushion, because i’ve never had an ergonomic chair and care less so about all the adjustable features, although they all seem positive… Right now I’m thinking between getting the refurbished Leap V2 from Crandall’s office, the Anda Seat Kaiser 3 and the Titan Lab Evo 2022. The extra padded seats on the Leap V2 and Anda Kaiser really appeal to me because reading the reviews on the titan evo, people seem to complain that the seat may be too thin and firm. I definitely don’t want a seat that’s too firm. I’m looking for more cushion. My main concern besides these chairs having firm seats is less about any chair specifically and more about how I like to play games and if I should get a full ergonomic chair…I play fps games and I like to lean close to my monitor resting my forearms on my desk. I cannot use arm rests specifically when gaming because of how I sit close and use the desk for stability, i’ve played and gotten to high ranks and now i can only aim this way. I just push my armrests under or sit flush with the desk with my current chairs. Obviously i use my computer to do other things though. When i’m not gaming, I prefer to sit back in a normal position and I do use my arm rests at that point, but this is less than 50% of the time because my PC is mostly for gaming. I’m a little worried that if I get an expensive ergonomic chair, it wont be as comfortable for me because I potentially like to sit weird a lot of the time. If I plan on sitting as described, instead of having 100% proper posture all the time would I still appreciate the leap or should just get a big chair with a thick seat, something that just gives me enough space to spread out in? Something like the anda kaiser or even simpler? I’ve heard from a couple people that their ergonomic chair was good for certain positions, but they ended up returning them for a more versatile chair, because they felt like it forced them always to sit upright. Would really love anyone’s opinion!

I'v been using IKEA Markus for 3 years now and i'm really happy with this. After A LOT of reading about chairs i got the impression that it is (or at least was 3 years ago) only chair at that price point (seems to be 220€ now) with really good build quality and i wasn't disappointed, it still feels like new after 3 years and it comes with 10 years warranty. It doesn't have a lot of different adjustments, but for me it works really well (178cm, 60kg). Never had any problem sitting in this for as long as i want (often pretty much whole day), it is comfortable for me when sitting upright or in relaxed position and i also often like to sit in strange positions which it also works very well for because of the big seat. I haven't really used that many different chairs, but at least feels a lot better and way more durable for me than cheap gaming chairs. Could be that i'm just lucky it works so well with my body, and i believe there sure are better (and more adjustable) chairs if you are willing to spend enough money, but personally i couldn't be happier with my purchase, have nothing to complain about and i believe this will last me a long time as it is still like new. Sorry for my bad english and i also don't know how well spread IKEAs are, but if there is one near you, maybe it is worth visiting there to try sitting on one, especially if you want something that will last for long and don't want to spend too much (as you didn't just pick Aeron if you was impressed by it).

I recently went with the Gesture and it arrived yesterday! I am absolutely in love this chair, but I'm afraid I'll end up returning. I'm 6'3 (very long legs) 220lbs(wide thighs) and this seat pan doesn't extend enough for me to sit ergonomically correct. I've only had 2 hours sat in this chair, but I can tell the blood flow in my legs is not going to end well for me when the best I can do without half my ass hanging off the back of the seat, is have almost a full hand between the seat and the back of my knee. I'll probably have to head to a showroom to get a better idea, but any shot at making more "tall" people vids with seat measurements as well, or do you think the embody/fern would be a better fit? Thanks as always for the great and detailed videos!

Hey there, love the videos, I ended up purchasing the Titan Evo XL after watching your video on it last year. Now I love this gaming chair, some fun facts I did the opposite of what you said in the video though, I am 5’7 and about 132 lbs so technically I could have bought the regular or even the medium size and been okay with it, I decided to go for the XL because of how one of your guest female friends sat in the chair in the upright position and in the incline position. I wanted this chair to be the ultimate in gaming, tv watching and just lounging to get off my feet and the XL or large size (now I cannot remember) does just that! I have used in consistently for working and gaming and doing nonsense on the computer. I find the firmness of the seat excellent and it feels as though it will last me for years to come, having the ability to adjust the arms at the very base of the seat adds even more to the experience since the arms at the side of the seat provide even more adjustments. I am glad I came across your video and even more so that I purchased the chair. The one and only thing I will say annoys me now, and honestly it is not the chair or Secret Lab, it was my bad measuring, the base/feet on the larger chair truly is massive and would be perfect if I was not in the smallest condo possibly 😂. The ability to move the cigar around my tiny condo is nearly impossible but does not take away the fact that it’s so very comfortable to sit in. So until I decide to move and measure twice me and the Evo are living together with my HAG capisco chair. In addition the HAG capisco puls is nice as well but the lack of butt cushion does make me get up after an hour or so to stand, which follows the reason I got the chair (that and it works really well with standing desks), but if you sit like me and like to cross your legs under you, get both or get one chair that allows you to sit and then stand up when necessary. Thanks again for your videos.

every single time I sit in my Aeron I am grateful that I bought it. If it works well with your body I legit don’t think there’s a better chair. The airflow, buttery smooth rocking action and support features are just top tier. But that’s a big if. The downfall of the Aeron is that some people will just naturally come in contact with the hard plastic frame. I understand why it is a controversial chair. So I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone until they’ve had a chance to try it or are willing to take advantage of the return window

It's a polarising chair, but all the best things are controversial. 😉 Personally, I had that issue with Mirra 2 and had to return it, even though I absolutely loved everything else about it. Steelcase for sure makes less problematic and divisive chairs, but they don't really stand out as much Herman Miller chairs imo and the company is less welcoming outside of North America.

As a thinner, tall person, and gesture owner, the biggest complaint i have with my gesture is the seat padding feels a little thin. I think if you have a bigger butt than me, your weight gets distributed across the seat a little more, so the padding is okay, but I find that over long sitting sessions, my butt starts to get fatigued. the headrest is great. I would also recommend the additional lumbar support. I can't imagine having the chair without it.

It’s difficult to talk about that bc nothing is objective - read my comments and you’ll see some people LOVE one chair for their back while 2 people say they hate it. It’s very subjective. In terms of % of whether your back will like it, I think you’ll have a higher % of liking a chair if you go with a company that has done intense r&d of their chairs, such as Steelcase, Herman Miller, or Haworth, instead of a budget Chinese chair. My advice to you: get 2 or 3 chairs that you think you’ll like based on my videos and return the 1-2 you don’t like. Returning is really easy and best of all, free, with all of the companies that sell the higher end chairs.

Some of my notes after having "TITAN evo 2022" (without too much explanation): 1) assembly is not that easy (not hard either) 2) one of the worst armrests on the market - literally everything about them 3) lumbar support is so hard, it actually hurts my back more; also it is too high; it should be called "high back" support, not "low back" support; probably that's why Secretlab are selling a separate low back support :) 4) seat is super hard 5) the chair is very heavy and doesn't roll around easy, so if you move a lot - sorryyyy :/ JOKE: the packaging is better engineered than the chair. :)

To put into context, I am 6'2", 185lbs. I currently have a Leap V2, Gesture, and an Autonomous ErgoChair Pro. The ErgoChair Pro has deepest seat pan out of the three and fits well but has other significant shortcomings. The Leap V2 is my favorite as far as comfort is concerned. I have tried the Herman Miller Aeron Size C and it seems to fit pretty well but I am not fan of the chair as a whole, it is just not comfortable to me. I am considering taking a closer look at the Fern and Embody but I am not sure that either one is going to be any better than what I have. Appreciate your chair reviews. I've had two off-brand gaming chairs and both of them have busted after just one year each. Back doesn't stay in place, arms start falling out, and the worst issue is that the chair(seat?) starts tilting forward and I keep sliding out of the chair. I don't really know why that keeps happening. I'm about 250lbs and I do worry that maybe it's my weight, and that makes me paranoid about buying any chairs if they're just gonna break on me in another year. I'm also 5 feet 10 1/2 inches so I kind of fall between your small and tall recommendations so not quite sure which way to go.

hey! that's really upsetting to hear! I recommend going with the well known brands in this video that carry a 12 year warranty! 250lbs is middle weight in the quality chair brands (Steelcase, Herman Miller, Haworth), so you should be fine, and again, a proven 12 year warranty! As for which list to look at - look at the taller list! I've got a bunch of videos, but some places to start if you're not looking to break the bank - Steelcase Amia, and any of the lower priced Haworth chairs. If you want best of the best - Herman Miller Embody and Haworth Fern are my top 2 picks! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel a LOT!

I'm looking everywhere to try and find the color/type of fabric for the Capisco by Hag in your video. Does the sticker on the bottom have any kind of fabric code you could share?

I'll never buy another chair without at least finding a local one to try first. I purchased the Steel Case Gesture because it had such great reviews and I hate it. It's so uncomfortable. I was thinking of getting the HM Embody but I assume it has the same solid seat that makes the Gesture so bad.

The benefit of buying a gesture or Herman Miller chair is the excellent return policy. Were you not able to return it? The embody seat is very different as stated in the video it’s a very unique chair

Couldn't agree more. Steelcase Gesture seat is awful. What did you end up getting to replace it?

Must be a mainland Europe thing, because I've never heard of that chair in the UK lol. Edit: Ohh, it's basically the Clatina Mellet. It's a great chair, and was even recommended by BTODtv.

Still watching, but commenting on the Titan Evo. I can't stand mine. Too firm for me in the seat and the back is so uncomfortable. 5'10 140lbs so maybe lighter and narrower than the target audience for this chair. Planning to get a reman Leap v2 in January. So ready for a chair that doesn't cause me discomfort daily.

Hey! So that is in line with other folks who said they didn't like it. I want to give a heads up that there's a sale on remanufactured chairs right now from Crandall, but I don't know when it ends! So if you plan to wait til Jan, make sure you contact them and ask when it ends!

Hey, I am 6 ft 1 and around 140 pounds and I’m looking to get a new chair. I was planning on getting a titan Evo from Secretlabs or the Leap V2 from Crandalls Office. Would love to hear if you end up getting the leap V2 and if you like it, there’s so many varying reviews it’s really bothering me and I can’t decide what chair to buy lol. The biggest thing i’m worried about is having a comfy seat.

Do you plan on doing any reviews of any Humanscale chairs? I haven't found any on your channel and they seem to be another major brand.
