Although I loved that she didn’t care what her mum said and stood up for herself, the dress she picked is just all over the place. It’s quite obvious it’s a two piece because it doesn’t combine in the middle (or have a belt of some sort covering it) and the skirt reminds me of a prom dress. I know she wants to be edgy and have a biker feel to it; but why choose a venue which is outside with gorgeous flowers around, which would look amazing for pictures and then have a dark biker feel dress?! I don’t get it. The first dress looked beautiful on her and would totally suit the venue, plus she could have worn the leather jacket with it

No!!!! Not a fan. That flower dress was SOOO much better and fit her PERFECTLY! That looked like a Biker PROM dress. Not wedding or age appropriate. But she likes it, so that's what counts I guess.

I love how much more comfortable you are with yourself and your own opinions when you’re older. I see so many young brides on this show rely entirely too much on the opinions of others that it’s like they have no feelings or thoughts of their own. The people who don’t like it (yes, even mother’s) will get over it. It’s not their dress, it’s not their wedding. No one is gonna hate you for wearing something you felt beautiful, comfortable and like YOURSELF in.

Sarah Jessica Parker did the black wedding gown and she said she regret it. When you look back on the photos it doesn't look bridal, it looks like it could have been for any special occasion and I think that it what people wont see until after the wedding. It seemed like she was looking to the daughter for her approval and she was concerned with looking edgy. I don't think she actually felt bridal in it but didnt want to be conflicted by trying the floral one on again (which looked WAY better tbh). I think when you get married it should reflect you but it shouldn't be so trendy that you lose that timeless feel in the wedding photos.

The dress she chose is fabulous, I love the midnight blue skirt. I know some people are commenting "it's nothing like a wedding dress" or "it's not a proper dress to get married in", but she loves it and it's her choice. Plus, my mom got married in a suit jacket and top with a matching pencil skirt.
