I'm loving the videos, learning a lot! I have a question, some people told me that when playing a bandeja I should start with the arm extended, but Gonzalo starts with the elbow flexed. Is there a difference? Thank you for the videos!!

Thanks for you comment 🥰 assuming you are right handed, your left arm should be extended but your right arm should definitely start flexed when preparing the shot. Hope this helps 🙌

Do you start the motion with your body or do you start the motion with the arm (and the body follows)?

At the same time! Think about the motion when you want to throw a pebble on the beach. That's the motion you have to replicate. Hope that helps 🙌

Hey - I watched your vibora video as well. Looking at 3:39 i really cannot see the difference with the vibora… could you explain? Thanks!

They can be quite similar in some cases. The theory says that in the bandeja you have to brush the ball at 6 o'clock and in the víbora at 3 o'clock. But for example in my case I don't always hit there 🫣

Thanks for the video, but in my opinion, this seems to be a vibora, not a bandeja. Reasons: - The preparation you're doing (racket behind the head). - The point of contact with the ball (which is to your side, almost with the level of your head/shoulder) - The finish and the movement of your arm and shoulder, which is a typical finish movements of a vibora, not a bandeja at all. - The noticeable effect on the ball after hitting the back glass, which results of the ball bounce like in 3:30.

I will soon make a video on the differences of these two shots. To me, the most important aspect is the tactical intention of each shot rather than the specifics of the technique. Technique wise the main difference is where you brush the ball and how you control the face of the racket at impact
