I bought the Bontrager Velocis Soft Shell jacket which works really well with a light base layer like Marino wool . This jacket keeps your chest and arms warm but vents heat out the thinner back panel. It’s good between temps of 5 to 12 deg C.

I live in Montreal and right now I use my winter down jacket when bicycling in November. It's so warm I only need to wear a t-shirt under it. The only downside is that the jacket is very bulky which creates a lot of air resistance. I'm sure I would feel too cold if I wear the jacket you recommend for 5-10 degrees Celsius.

Even when you say 0 degrees you are referring to celsius which is 32F which isn't that cold. I mean stuff can freeze but where I live I can sometimes ride in 0 Fahrenheit. There is no way those clothes would be enough to stay warm. Back when I would MTB bike I would have days where my gears would freeze and I had to ride using the one gear it got stuck in.

Thanks! Maybe you wear too warm clothes for the weather, so you sweat, then get cold. If you leave the house and you are comfortable, that means it's too warm clothing!!! that material is not AS waterproof as goretex. it's good for light rain, but not pouring rain or a storm. Goretex on the otherhand is better forthat, but less breathable
