I love this type of content! All there is on KZfaq is training for bodybuilders, we need similar content (nutrition, recovery, etc.) for action sports!!

I had been skating from 10 to 6 every Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday. The thing that helped me was just keep on skating because yes I would be in pain but when I start skating you are not in pain because your muscles work like that for some reason so honestly just keep skating

This is awesome! I’m fairly new and I already work out lots so I think I overworked my body. And was not stretching or resting outta over excitement 😑 now my right hip hurts like proper and I figured this is why... appreciate this

Fucking destroyed my leg and have been unable to skate to my full potential for about 2 weeks but I find myself unable to stay off my board. I stay off for 2-3 days and then get annoyed and go out again and hurt my leg again. I need a break but can’t take one.

33 years skating! Super helpful. I also use Arnica gel, I swear by it, good for muscle aches, heals bruises way faster and helps me feel recuperated.

Bro I feel this even today. I'm sooooo sore I've been skating every single day for hours. My legs are literally so sore I can't skate anymore. Good thing I busted a huge Ollie and snapped my bored yesterday + skateshop is closed till Monday so I have to take a rest day now!

great vid. I'm 31 and trying to reduce recovery times, which i believe have increased mostly due to not eating enough (1 meal a day for a while). Foam rolling, stretches, fluids, sleep have helped but i'm already seeing amazing results by eating more calories, more protein, more carbs, with high nutritional value.

Yeah, you’re burning through calories especially if you’re only eating one meal a day. That’s basically working out while fasting so you would need more calorie intake and real nutrients from veggies and what not

What i find helpful is, right before a session i snort some Meth. It blocks out any pain, and enhances my physical performance. :)

I'm new to skating and I've been practicing about 5 days in a row to get the hang of the basics. I used to push mongo as a kid so I've been mainly working on fixing that lol. I've got the hang of it now and I've moved on to trying to ollie. My legs and calves feel gassed so those ollies aren't happening lol. Might need a day off but I really just want to keep skating!

Thanks mate! You're right. I realised it's when I have my phone in my pocket (what my mic is plugged in to) and the jack gets moved around. In the next vid I realised just after I started filming so first 45 secs has the same prob but hopefully that will be the last of that issue!

Did you watch this with your head in a bag of sand? I gave you literally like 20 tips on recovery. Part 1 (preparation) @1:52 this part is by far the most important part that will have the biggest impact on recovery, they're also the things that most people don't have on lock - eating good, sleeping good, planning days off, reducing stress, etc. Part 2 (repair) @3:40 Rehydrate, restore energy, cool down/relax to activate body's repair mechanisms, foam roll, think positively about session to enhance recovery (which also helps trick learning). Part 3 (therapy) @4:53: do daily destressing methods like meditation to reduce overall life stress, listen to your body so you don't push yourself too far, and then add extra recovery foods. What else were you expecting? Maybe I can help you in another way

@@C.I... there are probably a lot of younger people who are getting serious about their sport that would really benefit from this kind of mentality with skating. A lot of people see the culture as a bunch of kids that are up to trouble, drugs, and vandalism. This guy has the right mindset and treats it as a sport, not a pass time and you are bagging him for it?
