Been driving near 2 years now and somehow found myself on this roundabout at night after a trip to smiths on satursday. I have never ever felt so stressed, scared & frustrated. The roundabout was so confusing... (Im From brighton) so I'm confident with 'big ish' roundabouts... thanks for this video. Its definitely makes more sense now!

This one is a nice Roundabout in the sense that its got great markings and signs. Some are soo faded that you stand no chance unless you live local and drive it everyday. Thats what stresses me out when i'm going somewhere new

I have my driving test at the end of March in Crawley and your videos are really helpful! It’s nice to have a point of view perspective on these roads/roundabouts just as a visual reminder. Have you got any tips on overtaking slow moving vehicles/cyclists on busy roads such as a dual carriageway? This is something I always panic about!

11:20 - i think you done correctly because when you left your stop line your traffic light was green so its fine for you to go but vehicle aproaching stop line would need to stop. I hope i am anwering that correctly 😅

I noticed when you are turning right 3rd exit, you are exiting from left hand side, why not right hand side, I thought the rule is if you are entering from the right you also exit from the right but in this case, you exit from the left after entering from the right.

14:40 looks like the 4th exit to me and not the 3rd. I think this is one reason i keep failing tests lol. Keep watching the vid and looks lke it's the 4th exit

Do I need to signal while doing the roundabout and waiting for the traffic lights or I only signal left before my exit? Many thanks for this video! It's helping a lot!

Personally I would not signal, this is because: a.) If you signal right you are not actually staying right, you are moving to the middle, then to the left as you spiral around the roundabout, as such the right signal is misleading, could make other drivers think you are just going to keep near the kerb and stay on the inside of the roundabout. b.) it is traffic light controlled, normally you signal right to show traffic from other entrances, not traffic behind, that you are coming round so they don't pull out in front of you. As it's light controlled you don't need to tell them this. However I asked an examiner once about this and they said they would not mark someone down if they did signal, equally they would not mark someone down is they didn't. It's one of those things where there is not a 'perfect' answer with things you must or must not do. However, it was a spiral roundabout and it WAS NOT traffic light controlled then I would ensure I am signalling right for any right turns, so the traffic from other entrances know I am coming round and they don't pull out in front of me due to the possible confusion with the spiral positioning,

Did the car at 13:52 run a red light technically? What is the lenience in this case? Does this roundabout have red light cameras?

Yes they ran a red light. There is no camera here, and tbh not many traffic lights have cameras, probably why people take the risk. But get into a 'bad habit' of it and: - best case scenario you will get a fine and points at some point for doing it on lights with a camera or a police car nearby. - worst case scenario the other traffic will be getting a green light, they rush to move off and you get into a serious collision.

I find this runabout easy, Hazelwick roundabout annoys me, 3 Lane on entry yet a car from left lane almost went into the back of me by going to the middle lane on roundabout, then had the audacity to beep and swear at me

As well as making sure your position is correct you also need to anticipate other road users. So always keep your distance from others, never sit next to them in their blind spot, keep at a lower speed so you give yourself time to anticipate and respond in a calm and controlled way. Doing this I personally don’t have major issues with Hazelwick, yes other drivers might cause issues but as I anticipate it and am at a good speed it never causes a major issue.

I have, I always try and follow what you showed only when people are not in correct lanes does it not work but its more the entry people seem to be getting soo wrong like I had to slow down due to a car from middle exit going into outer lane on roundabout, I do think the layout could be alot better signage wise like tushmore
