Being organized with all your Lego parts is certainly the first step into being able to find the right pieces when you need them, not to mention the mental pressure that it can create when your place looks like a chaotic environnement, you guys have given yourselves a better way to find the pieces easier, it may not be the perfect system to sort out all your parts, but at least it's a beginning, and keep looking at pictures and vids on the Internet to find one that will suit you better, those minifigs displays are brillant! I have a few of them from the Lego brand which suit me well at this time since my Lego collection is quite small. Keep up the good work, Emily and Ross!

It's looking good, and so happy to see you both motivated for MOC's and having fun with it. Have you heard of the "clutter bug" she's a KZfaq organiser but it's really handy and no confrontational about figuring out what organising style each person has. It might be worth doing her quiz and then watching a video for which style of organising you naturally are to get ideas. For example, from what you've said (like see through containers) I would say you're a 'visual organiser'. She provides a really good framework for thinking of organising and what will be maintainable and it's reassuring that different people organise differently. Just a thought! can't wait to see what you create in the loft building zone

What I do for draws u can’t see what’s in is get the rubber Lego sticky back tape stick it to the front of the draw and then stick to the front the pieces inside and you can change as draws change

it might get kind of crazy, but I'm very visual so if I had those drawers, I'd tape generic pictures of the pieces inside pf the drawer to the front, this way maybe you can look more quickly. Or maybe tape the pieces themselves, like the lego employee-masters do in their workshops. I move a lot so large sectioned boxes work better for me, and I attempt to ocd keep all the contents on the same layout (bricks, clips, plates, tiles, etc in the same place, in every box xD)

Y'all should try the TV on an angle under the Star Wars shelf where the helmets are, move the big drawer thing to where the couch is, put the couch where the TV currently is, and face the helmets into the room so you can see them next to window on the left side. You would not be blocking window. You might be able to find a small storage bench to go under window that would give seating on top and storage inside.

Recommendation of when you do Alex drawers is make each drawer a color and set it up like all the drawers under it with each drawer being its own color.

in your lego city room between the small table and lego city table.. i think you should think of building a mock bridge and continue the city to the small table

Now that you have your mini figs standing on the base plate, can you slide that into the top ikea drawer? The opening of the Ikea drawers also allows dust to get in the drawers.
