HWA in Affalterbach invited me to see their new car, which is officially launched today - the HWA Evo. This car is so much more than a 'restomod', it is the legend of the Mercedes Benz 190E Evo II reborn! Just 100 of these incredible cars will be produced at a cost of 714k euros each. It features a 3.0 V6 turbo from Mercedes (but heavily modified) with 450-500bhp, and a 6 speed manual box driving the rear wheels only. The Baby Benz just grew up!

I've had this exact idea in my mind for years-I can't believe they're actually making an updated version of the E190! This is more exciting than any new supercar, any day of the week!

Владею 190Е на м103 2.6. занимаюсь рестоврацией его,это очень накладно для меня,но оно того стоит ведь Baby Benz это легенда!!! Спасибо парням из HWA за возрождение легенды в новом обличии.. жаль что не смогу когда либо его купить... Успехов вам парни... I own 190E on M103 2.6. I am restoring it, it’s very expensive for me, but it’s worth it because Baby Benz is a legend!!! Thanks to the guys from HWA for reviving the legend in a new guise... it's a pity that I won't be able to buy it ever... Good luck to you guys...

I like it, not as much as the original and the original is cheaper. I own a 190E 2.3-16 and absolutely love these cars. Great vid thank you, the TG one was a difficult watch.

I really f***ing love Mercs, but I can't ignore the fact that you didn't mention the Fittipaldi EF7 when you spoke of the De Tomaso. Now I know why I love it so much, it was built by the best.

Lovely looking car - definitely prefer the wheels which mirror the originals. Worst bit, rear lights look a bit 'eBay' aftermarket - not very classy.

This and the DLS seem to be designed for the same 20-25 individuals around the world who snap up anything hot that appears on the market, be it a T50, an Apollo, a DLS or a nostalgic Lancia restomod. I'm happy it exists and that HWA get the recognition they deserve, but this is not serious. I'd say Mechatronik get it just right in that respect. Great video and tour nonetheless!
