I'd recommend you get a flexing chain for the powercable, cleaning that up from just sitting on the floor, but really great setup!

That's like my setup. One 32 inch ASUS 1080p monitor on a mount, I have a soundbar under the monitor, my PC is on a shelf at the bottom of the desk.

you should look at some of the SSUPD cases. they make ITX cases that have support for large GPUs

one recommendation i have is selling that 4080 and downsizing to a 4080 FE. Same card, probably cheaper, and would allow for you to switch over to an itx case when the time comes. great setup man

hey, what do you think about OLED for working? I am afraid of getting some burn-ins when working on static content > 8 hours a day (macOS toolbar, chrome, etc). On the other hand, I remember that getting a good IPS panel without defects was a lottery, at least 5 years ago. I've returned 3 Asuses PG279Q, all of them had backlight bleed and ended up with ViewSonic 2703-gs, and the first one was already great quality. I've checked some comments and IPS lottery still seems to be the case nowadays...

this monitor has a 3 year burn in warranty which is nice but i am only going to work on it sparingly (bringing my laptop over occasionally). IPS panels still have that problem so hard to say 100% either way

the gigabyte m32u is pretty good, I have it at my parents and it's a great monitor. 4K 144hz

Having one monitor is makes your setup clean, but if your going to use only one at least have a big one like a 27 or 32 inch monitor. Dual Monitors are for multi taskers and streamers I think, and one monitor is for people who plays games for fun or something else that doesn't require a second monitor
