Unsurprisingly the sled with half the weight, twice the power and at least double the traction slays skeg! Still awesome to see. Ski-doo does have air/fan radiator kits, plus a bunch more bogies along the slide rail and that sled should be able to do pretty long skeg runs. Every spring when I hop on the atv I always think it’s down on power, belt is slipping or something else is wrong… nope, just used to the acceleration of my sled! Cheers from Ontario.

We used to remove the heat exchangers from under the sled and add a rad with a fan and you can ride whatever you want all day just have to replace the sliders on the track when winter comes

Back in the days I used a safari 377 to cross the swamp to my camp. Fan cool no issues but running a bit rich not jetted for warm weather . Great stuff mate

My old El Tigre' has a high mounted radiator and I've got wide powder skis for it. Would make a great skeg machine! Just add a few bogies to keep the hyfax from melting in the fast dry spots... or add lubers like we ran for grass drags.

Used to winter in Texas before Covid played a lot down there with our 800 Outlanders mostly south Texas Port Aransas ,Port Mansfield and Galveston lots of beach combing, my oldest son lives on Lake Travis Just watching you now CYU
