Listened to this again. I have researched Sjogrens for about 20 years...no kidding. This guy has it all in a nutshell and ABSOLUTELY knows his stuff. My goal is always to take the natural or intergrative route rather than harsh pharmaceuticals that damage even more stuff and get you into more health trouble and discomfort. I am about to connect with an intergrative Dr who I’m sure will get on board with all he says. 2020 IS going to be the year I make leaps and bounds with helping to heal myself because at 64 and having this for over 30 years..... enough. I’m pulling the plug. I can’t thank this guy enough. It all makes sense and I know how much time and effort he would have put into this and putting the jigsaw puzzle together to get the RIGHT information to us all. A HUGE THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’m very grateful for this Dr as well! And thank you for your message! Could you please tell me if you are on the therapy and how you feel now? I'm sorry to report that this supplement approach did not seem to help me much, but maybe it was because it was early in my treatment and I was real acute at the time. What did help me the most was AIP diet, caring for leaky gut, reducing stress, getting more sleep. I found avoiding gluten and sugar to be the biggest triggers for me. I found eating lots of salmon an brocolli helped a lot. On top of that, the supplements might help, but in my experience, the other diet and lifestyle changes were the most important.

I had already been gluten free for years. I have been on 90% of this protocol for over a year and it definitely helps. I agree on the diet changes, but I would say that this is a whole person approach, diet and supplementation. I have had to eliminate all grains 100% of sugar, and if I miss my supplements I have a flare up. Especially the saliva stim. I also have found I can't take every supplement. It took 30 days to see results. I also take folate and methelated b vitamins because after years of being gluten free I had low folate and low b12 (though I think the low b12 has another cause.) I added 1 supplement at a time for a week then another when I saw I had no reaction. The ones I reacted to I stopped taking. I need to find a functional medicine doctor because I have held off on the ones that can mess withy liver enzymes untill then.

Diet is good. But Sjogren's Syndrome is an Autoimmune (AI) Disease. That means you presently are almost devoid of Endorphin Hormones which are the backbone to your immune system. Basically, your Immune System is severely compromised. This leaves you at big risk for getting more serious disorders in the future. Recommend giving LDN therapy a try. See my post above. LDN is the ONLY way to get your Endorphin production/Immune System back. No other medication can do this -- Only LDN. Been on LDN for over 10 years for my own AI disorder. I probably would not be still above ground if it were not for LDN.

@@berengereful pop all the petrochemical pharmaceuticals you want, but stop encouraging others to join your downward spiral. Every autoimmune disorder can be managed with alternatives to the point of being an inconvenience, rather than consuming your life. Unlike the false claims of Western medicine there's no one-size-fits-all pill for any disease, so it takes some experimenting with diet and alternatives, but anyone who puts the time and research in will benefit and improve their quality of life indefinitely. I have a few other suggestions for him myself that i hope he will add to the list of healers . Please look into shatavari powder which you can by at almost any Indian Grocers cheaply . They have used it for thousands of years and Ayurvedic medicine and it is said to keep us young and juicy ... you supposed to take it with us were gone. Which is very good for many things as it is an adaptogen and also considered a nootropic ... they both are said to balance the hormones for men and women alike but you will see people here on the tube giving wrong information . I mix them with water and drink them and then take about a half a teaspoon of ghee ... as they are supposed to be taken with ghee . I have also asked the doctor to consider putting ghee on his list because it is said to nervous all of the organs joints muscles and to keep us lubricated . good quality gay is supposed to be yellow not a whitish color . and you want to try taking Moringa powder mixed with water but if you can access Moringa oil then you will really be helping yourself towards wellness and being pain free . If you live in America there is a company in Plant City Florida that makes their own Moringa oil and they're here on the tube , i just can't recall their name .

Sjogren's Syndrome is an Autoimmune (AI) Disease.

Kelly, Systane has 2 new OTC Eye Drops that contain LIPIDS (oil) so they help to replace the missing oily layer of tears that slow the evaporation of the aqueous layer beneath. Systane COMPLETE - has support for both layers of tears, and Systane BALANCE has primarily the Oily Tear support. Personally, I found the BALANCE to be the most helpful. The night time ointments for Dry Eye, almost 100%, contain a mixture of Mineral Oil & Petrolatum (Vaseline). These obviously are the strongest at slowing evaporation, but do cause blurred vision for at least a little while after use. On the worst days, I have find myself using these ointments >4 times per day - but NOT before driving, or having 10-15 minutes before "sharp" vision is needed. Amy C. Pharm. D.

With stress all sorts happen but another trigger is H Pylori go get a stool test to rule out that and then ask for an anti body test for sjorgens syndrome then you’ll know if you have it or not. I have long covid and have been through this and found I had H Pylori this virus is racking lives for sure x

@@fionaandrews991 very weird that you mention h-pylori because I had that for decades ... when i was only 18 i had a bleeding ulcer and lost so much weight because i couldn't really eat that i looked like something out of a prison camp . The problem with those tests is the one where you breathe into the little cardboard thing and they send it out is not very effective . Yes most doctors will not tell a patient how h-pylori can ruin their health . Personally I did not get Sjogren's from it well let me put it this way if i did i must have had it only in a mild form but i did back in my college days have both Epstein-Barr and also Lyme disease ... i was not well for a very long time . I was in constant pain . I healed a lot of my problems through mostly ayurvedic medicinal herbs that i get at my local Indian Grocers .

I am sooo very sorry for your loss. Yes, stress is toxic and can definitely cause Sjogren’s which is a toxicity syndrome. You may want to also check for environmental factors such as mold and heavy Metals.

Mine isn't genetic. No autoimmune diseases have ever been in my family and especially Sjorgens. Wouldn't I have to be the "lucky" one? Mine was brought on my mold and a horrible diet and lifestyle that fed the mold and high and chronic stress for years & years. Ironically I never had a single symptom of sjorgens until this last year and at that the only symptom was a feeling the air was dry. I was holding my own until I made the horrific mistake of allowing a ct scan on my neck and although I wasn't told by the Dr. or the radiologist, my head. Within 20 hours of that scan my WBC skyrocketed from 7.5 to 13.68! Four days later I had lost my tears, saliva, sweat and sebum, and even earwax production. I still had all these until the ct scan. It gets worse each day and I don't understand how a human body can survive this dry. I can't eat and have lost so much weight I look skeletal. I am in misery and beg God to bring me home. This isn't life. This is an excruciatingly cruel existence. I hate living now and just last year I was still loving life. 😢😢😢 I wish someone could tell me why, of all diseases out there, I had to get the worst, most horrific and cruel one.

64 year old, I have been suffering from coeliac disease for more than ten years before it was diagnosed, thus have to avoid gluten. There once was a famous French nutritionnist, Dr Seignalet, who recommanded a gluten free and milk free dietto all of us. With it I felt a new person after two weeks. But huge repeated stress trurned coeliac disease into Sjögren's Syndrome, which has been misdiagnosed for years until I had serious lung and heart problems. I am now looking for a good natural treatment not to have any more flares since allopathic French medicine is of no use and dangerous.
