trying so hard to pick an exhaust for my miata, and im very glad to find out the roadster sport 4 muffler sounds the best by far to me, because its already on my car! they all sound good, but the roastersport 4 has a nice mix of very mild rasp, bass, and purr. all mixed perfectly to please my ears, and yours.

Roadster sport 4 with the hemholtz resonator. No drone and sounds aggressive when on throttle.

Currently looking for an exhaust (or custom make a 3"). 1999 NB with flyin miata turbo kit, right now it's 2 1/2" downpipe to stock exhaust. I have a 3" downpipe in the box for when I go for 300+hp

Flyin Miata was the best in my opinion. Not obnoxious and sounds great when you are really on it.

Which racing beat is that? The race one or power pulse? also is the cobalt dual exhuast that loud? it sounds much louder than I expected it to be

I think the ISR Performance sounded best, followed by the Roadster Sport 4. Making a four cylinder sound good, especially under acceleration, is a tricky business of letting it sing without letting it sound like a fart can.

yeah ISR definitely has a deep tone. Its still pretty loud but the tone is desirable.

@@sgtjohn4321 try adding some resonators to help smooth out the drone. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qK5na5aC1LSpnH0.html In that video I added a cheap $30 resonator to my manzo/ebay exhaust and although its still loud, that low drone frequency is gone.

I have the ISR on my rotrex nb (came with the car). After a year of owning it the welds on the resonator baffle broke so I changed it out for a vibrant resonator. It sounds decent but the car is ridiculously loud. I’m fine with it but it draws lots of unwanted attention and I’ve been almost kicked out of a few auto x events because of it

@@jayhuvar6329 yea the car doesn’t sound terrible. I also have a isr on my nb love all the sounds but it’s just too loud. 4inch exhaust tip will do that. And it will drone constantly while cruising. It’s not terrible you can live with it but I’m currently replacing my mid pipe for inspection so bye bye isr

Bought my NB with Jackson headers tied back to Borla dual exhaust. Thought I’d read that system was bought by Cobalt. Either way, I’ve never seen another NB with dual outlets.

@@Star02Lord I had an ISR on my 1995 Miata and it was ridiculously loud. Even with the resonator instead of the test pipe and full interior. That exhaust gets rid of the cat at least for the 95 so check your emissions regs before you buy it. The 95 didn’t need emissions testing cause it was old enough but a 2000 will get tested.
