Bleeding the clutch and keeping the fluid fresh is just as important as the brakes IMO, especially in a car that's driven hard or tracked. Apart from anything else it's the same fluid (same reservoir) as the brakes so could tend to contaminate the brake fluid. It is admittedly a PITA but worth the trouble. A Mityvac pump makes it a lot easier

These were the "Club Race" coilovers which I think they renamed to "Zeta Race"

yeah the gaskets were weird. I was given some generic ones and for a while was like why were they not fitting! Hope you get yours on soon! It sounds sooo goood

@@lenc3717 The muffler to the mid pipe uses a ring "crush" gasket. The only way to get it is to order the "hardware kit" from subaru. I think the part number is: D441SVA040.

@@Retro8itmods haven't had a chance to rip on them too much yet, as I am waiting on getting tires, wheels and alignment sorted. But on my test drive the "standard" settings was definitely stiff. I turned them down to full soft for the street and its perfect. Will turn them back up when I go to the track.

Yeah those are upgraded pillow ball bushings on the control arm. I really need coilovers for my 2011 STI.

The theory is you're trying to find the "goldilocks" distance of the O2 sensor from the exhaust stream. Too close into the stream, the o2 sensor will read too much fuel, and think the cat is busted and will throw your P0420. Too far from the stream, the o2 sensor will think theres too little fuel in the exhaust and think something is wrong with the o2 sensor and throw a different code. Just right, itll be within what the car deems as a normal spec. Some cars this will be a wide window, others it will be narrow. It really is trial and error and isnt really guaranteed. *education purposes only.

I remember doing the drive cycle for my 07 Maxima after replacing the catalytic converter and it took a couple days. When the sensors finally readied, I wasn't even trying to do the cycle, I had actually given up. I think the car was just laughing at me at that point. There's really no one size fits all strategy when it comes to completing mymonitor readiness.

Do you actually need that bmw specific ‘key’ tool to remove the oem screen? Or will other flat tools suffice? Or does the protection ‘lock’ tabs actually require this specific key to remove it?

I believe it is a generic "German" radio tab tool. Not a specific/unique key. I used a multi-tool that had several different "wrenches" on it.

Good luck! I will add, if you have budget for 2K clear, do it! They sell it in cans but it can get a bit pricey. You really only need about 2-3 coats. Make sure you wear full proper PPE though. 2K clear is uber toxic.

For the vertically oriented U-joint bolt, the head of the bolt is truncated to 14mm, so you can actually get an open-ended wrench on top of it and zip out the lower nut with an impact or ratchet instead of struggling with vise grips and twisting the linkage

Another good preventative mod would be a cylinder 4 cooling mod, helps mitigate the cylinder 4 ring land failure in the EJ's

It aint really the ultimate comparison because some of them are just revs, cars sound different under load, n some have the mic in the wrong spot so u cant tell the actual sound. Still good tho n the best one out there probably.
