Love watching these challenges. I have muscular dystrophy and I still run. However because of this I tend to fall and stumble a fair bit but running helps me mentally so we must keep going! Well done both!!

I’m amazed Andy hasn’t learned that going off too fast is a recipe for pain. Especially in a Running Channel challenge.
@allisonscanlan41442 жыл бұрын
Well he did know this lesson in the Olympics which won him the gold medal
@chrishinchliffe38032 жыл бұрын
Does that make Running Channel challenges more painful than the Olympics? Or is Andy just getting old? 😁
@styx8511 ай бұрын
@@allisonscanlan4144 I believe it won him an eighth place, but close enough!

"Swallowed a fly.. protein" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've only fallen once whilst running but it was a proper wipe out on the pavement. It was about 6am so no one really around but I literally hit the pavement palms first and bounced back up again so no one would see me 🤣 Scraped hands, knees and shins, but I carried on and finished the run anyway 😜 Was definitely bruised the next day though!

Great race and challenge, I knew Sarah would win 🤩. I fell recently on my first half marathon attempt whilst trying to socially distance and overtake some walkers on the same path. I badly injured my face and broke my nose but the worst thing was loosing the confidence that I would ever be able to complete a half marathon. Last week on my long run I felt really good and decided to go for it, so even though it wasn't a race I finally achieved it and it felt so good.

It's really funny how much of a difference the course makes! I usually run trails exclusively and was so surprised when I saw how much better my splits were on the road compared to in the forest! Great job both of you, especially having to run a surprise 5k after going all out on the first one! :D

Well done Sarah 🙌🏻 I loved this challenge, I mostly run hilly trails and the wonderful thing is that pace is largely irrelevant - walk the hills, run the flats and downs, enjoy the scenery (and on a long run, eat lots!)

How Sarah just styled out the swallowing of the fly I'll never know. Swallowing a fly has me keeled over and struggling for ages! Consistency over speed any day? I agree. I gave up on my speed for the fun of hills and trails and would never look back. But both routes looked pretty stunning! Great video as always team! And well done Sarah on the W!!

I fell over once doing the Round Sheffield Run going full pelt downhill thinking how much fun it was. Next thing I kicked a tree root and face planted the floor wondering what was happening. Apart from a grazed knee and elbow and wounded pride there was no damage.

DHB for meee!!!!! My funniest/worst fall was when I was running in the snow. I was running carefully with no problems. A car pulled into a cross street to turn in front of me, they saw me and waved me to go in front of them once they stopped. I was more focused on not running into the car than the footing and stepped on a manhole cover.... that was frozen solid! So I slipped and fell right in front of them. I got up and hobbled away like I was fine. The person got out of the car to try to check on me, but I kept hobbling/running and assured them I was fine. It tore my pants on the knee and my shirt on the elbow. It was quite painful, but even more embarrassing!

My funniest/scary moment was running in the dark, past a bus shelter when totally unexpectedly, a black binliner blew out of the shelter and "chased me" before I realised what it was. I did utter a small "girly" scream and almost fell over as my legs turned to jelly because I thought it was a big dog.😄 I'm always a bit wary of bus shelters now.

I think this might be my favourite ever running channel video. First, Sarah and Andy together is always an entertaining combo and I laughed all the way through this. Second, I am surrounded by amazing trails to run on, but they're hilly as well and it makes me feel much better seeing these two huffing and puffing just like I do. Watching Sarah tip toe down that hill was really funny, I was just like that when I started trail running!

Great work Andy and Sarah! Funniest thing on a run, involves my dog Oscar on a hot day. He ran in front of me on the leash, but he loves to run so much his tail was wagging so much I got a nice breeze behind, it was like having a nice fan to keep cool on a hot day.

great video and one for all runners who want to try trial running should watch, I've had to manage my expectations since moving to the Peak district. Love these Sarah vs Andy challenges - always so funny. So, in our little group that run together I’m the faller. Fell back in May in the middle of a 10 mile Marathon training run. Literally fell over my own feet - smashed my face into the pavement, blood and broken glasses 🤓 that resulted in an epic black eye plus scrapes and scratches. HOWEVER, I did manage to stop my Garmin and finish the run thanks to my amazing running buddies
