I did above ground irrigation in St Louis with a battery powered timer. When I moved I took the timer with and used it again for drip irrigation. The battery lasts a couple seasons.

How does it do when watering grass that’s very close to the unit itself? I’ve read that it does well for further out but not so great for areas that are close to the unit.

I have mine set off of the grass line a bit to cover, but you have to make that minor adjustment to get the coverage you need.

Thank you for your video! I was hoping you could answer a question. Can you set up 2 different watering zones on one Oto? I have a strip of grass on the other side of a concrete sidewalk...I'd love to have that as a separate/2nd zone so it doesn't waste water on the concrete (but waters the main/large area, and then the smaller strip, without having to reset a zone each time). Thanks again.

Ive had to use city water twice so far here in Chesapeake😉 I had no idea you were in Va til you asked that lawn guy what he was spraying!! Hope hes okay...you probally hurt his brain asking about analysis / NPK etc......poor guy🤣🤣🤣🤣

What is the purpose of solar power? Also, it seems to only spray like a solid hose spray to the outside perimeter. Seems like the new smart sprinkler. Concept good however needs to have adjustable spray pettern to be legit. Sorry, but it doesn't seem all that good vs.using a $5 hose end sprayer when application is needed.

An adjustable spray pattern would be a good optional feature but calibration becomes the issue. This unit applies a good amount of water to the zoned area based on your selections within the app. It starts watering closest to the base and gradually fans out to eventually cover all of the area within the zone. It avoids areas that don’t need the water which contributes to conservation. It’s also a smart device that will water on a schedule and has rain & wind skip settings. For someone who doesn’t have inground irrigation it is a pretty good option.
