► In this video I show you the ultimative aquarium moss trimming technique - how you can trimm your moss and syphon all trimming at the same time. And the best, this works for as long as you want, meaning you a not limited to the duration of a water change nor have you to worry about any buckets or external pumps!
The Credit for this Technique goes to Philip Schwarz from Liquid Nature - we've been talking about it during their opening party and fun fact - meanwhile my German friend and colleague Tobias Gawrisch aka Aquaowner has published a similar video too. This only proves how great this technique is and if you want to see the way Tobi has implemented it, check it out here (German) • Moos Staubsauger bauen...
Cheers

Hi Jurijs, even if my question is not for this video if you can I need of a little help. I’m starting just now for first time to make a new tank aquascaping, and I saw in some of your video that you use the three ADA products with the tropica soil powder so I think that even if are products of two differents lines they can be combinated well, but what I don't understand is one thing: I have also seen that you break a few capsules of the tropica slow release fertilizer and place it in the middle of the tropica soil and then cover it with another layer of tropica soil. But if the tropica soil is already a fertile bottom there is no risk of favoring an explosion of algae due to too much fertilization and if not you continue to make this during the time, is it for the roots of the plants? If you can give me an answer this will be really appreciated, thanks in advance for your kind help All the best Dani
@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are right, one can combine different brands. The capsules do not release into water, no risk of algae by adding them and for plants more is better

hey, recently bought buce from local seller ..its kind of rare buce . but it is infested with green spot algae, green fuzz algae, and tiny patches of BBA. As of now I have put them in empty 10-liter nano cube (like quarantine). I am afraid to keep them in the main tank, I fear that it may spread to other plants. I tried scrubbing buce leaves with q-tips ..but it didn't work .. all 3 algae stubborn . can you tell me how to fix it ?? should I use h2o2 ?? I want it to be clean and algae free before I place them in my display tank. pls tell me how ??
@JurijsJutjajevs

Yes using h2o2 can help, but be careful it will also damage the buce. If you know someone who is breeding shrimps you can ask him if you can put the plants in this shrimp tank for cleaning up

hey bro, I have a few questions for you. if you know pls answer them. 1) what's your opinion on yeast DIY Co2 ?? 2) I am from India.the place where I live is extremely hot, approx 95F-105F/35C -41C, for 10 months in a year. so I use an external fan to lower tank's temperature. The problem is water in the tank evaporates quickly approx 1.5 gallons every 2 days. My question is should I use Tap water or RO water to top up the tank ??
@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 4 жыл бұрын
1. yeast DIY Co2 can work. but its difficult to control because the output is changing. To achieve more stable results one can combine several bottles together and use 1 empty bottle in-between to avoid yeast mix going into the tank. Also having muttiple bottles will allow to swap them alternating to maintain a more constant output. 2. hot temperatures suck in aquarium hobby. a heater is cheaper and requires less power than a chiller and is more compact. however your method with a Fan and cooling the water with evaporation does the trick and can help to cool down the temperature for some degrees. The evaporated water should be refilled always with RO or distilled water. Because when water evaporates all minerals remain in the aquarium. Also, prior doing a water change always refill first and do water change afterwards, or you will increase mineral levels over time which will result in less good plants growth over time. plants love soft water
