While most of the rumors regarding the Sixers are centered around the big-time free agent they are targeting, the team still has to round out a 15-man roster. Sean Barnard points to how the Sixers could get plus value on a young talent that is already with the organization. KJ & RC3 played well the last part of the regular season and were great athletic pieces to contend with NY in the playoffs. Nurse some how forgot about them while the slow vets struggled. Bring them back, develop their games and put them in the rotation!

RC-4 is already on the roster, as long as Morey doesn't screw up. RC-4 may have the most discounted contract in the NBA. He's locked up for 3 yrs at minimum, when he could be a taller Josh Hart in 1 - 2 yrs, with a better outside shot.

I agree that getting young talent is a need and should be a priority of the organization. From what I’ve seen and heard about Nurses coaching staff they are good at skill development. KJ and Council are talented athletes with potential to be good contributors off the bench and adding one or two more younger players to the bench would be a nice move. Keeping the 16th pick and grabbing the best player available is what I believe is best and hopefully KyShawn George is still there when they pick.

KJ Martin played more minutes to boxout on limited minutes of developing some progression to playing a lot on jump shots and unique skills underneath the basket of guarding multiple positions

Vet min, I like it.. Kuz, Cam on the cheap, maybe Melton on the cheap, Oubre, the rest of the roster, let Morey Morey

I like Kuzma, he’s young (27 y.o.); has size 6’9”; 32.6 minutes per game; 22.2 pp; 6.6 reb; 4.2 ast.; not great from 3 at only 34%; but a 46.3% field percentage. An upgrade from Tobias and much cheaper

@@user-vu7rb1mu2y What do Sixers have to offer to acquire Kuzma, who is under contract? 3 firsts? I'd rather acquire Miles Bridges in free agency, especially if CHA doesn't go after Miles. Then his price tag would drop below 20 M. Minny can offer KAT for for Kuzma + pic #3. Minny wants to reduce salary and Wiz need a star.

KJ will be useful post-draft and post-initial FA frenzy. They would use his bird rights + their remaining picks to get a guy like Lauri for example - not that the Jazz would take the Sixers offer over someone else’s, but that is probably the max salary they could move KMJ for, bc remember it’s a 3-yr deal.

Not correct. The Bird Rights to KJ Martin would have to be waived before Sixers hit the 141 M Cap Threshold is reached. KJ has a 2.1 M cap hold. The only free agent whose Bird Rights will be kept is that of Maxey who has a 013.03 M caphold. Fans need to forget about Markkanen. Utah wouldn't trade him for their 5 firsts unless Maxey was included. Lauri is the core of their team, even more so than Maxey for Sixers. Almost the same for Mikal Bridges for Nets, even though Miles Bridges is a better fit for Sixers.

Yo, I heard somebody say that Embiid is the reason the process will never be completed. The closest since Dr. J that the Sixers got to a ring was when they had AIs, Iguodala AND Iverson. There's no chance for them in the near future. I personally think the Celtics are the new Warriors, with winning multiple rings in a row. EVERYBODY is good on that team.

KJ is a sneak good player and in this modern NBA he is a great piece as he is athletic and switchable on defense

How can he be sneaky good if everyone says he's no more than a Vet Min after 4 yrs in the NBA? RC-4 is better than KJ in every aspect of the game, and Nurse proved he felt obligated to play KJ over RC-4 until the very end of season - when it was too late.

Don’t know what Morey is waiting for to make a move….any!! Caruso has been the latest “loss” for the Sixers in addition to Siakam, OG Anunoby, Paul George (not interested anymore), J. Butler, the list goes on and on. Not to mention the opportunities we missed to get a good trade for Ben Simmons when Morey reluctantly was willing to accept nothing than a superstar out Simmons. At the time I remember that some of the names mentioned were Ant Edwards and Tyrese Halliburton of course we ended up giving a lot for washed J. Harden and an extension for Glenn Rivers!! It’s so freakin’ frustrating! Do something bc in the meantime there’s nothing left!!

Tyrese and certainly not Ant were available for Simmons, yet people continue to cite some have baked media report that proposing a Haliburton trade that may have involved 3 firsts and more in addition to Simmons. And Harden was not and still is NOT washed. He certainly is still better than Ben Simmons.

Still have 28m in cap even after this trade. Plenty of wings out there. Caleb Martin, Naji Marshall, Royce O’Neal. Also a backup center was our biggest need last year bro. Sixers were -58 with Embiid off the court in the playoffs. Come back to reality

The sixers misused him last year in my opinion. He can be a solid guy who crashes offensive boards at the 4, not the 5. I think him beside Embiid wouldn’t be a bad 4 since he’s athletic and is a dog

Martin don't shoot anything good enough. He botches so many finishes at the rim and unlike RC-4 who at least gets the foul call, where he is also a better FT shooter. And Martin has never seen a foul call against him, that he felt was justified. He's worse than Luca. If not for KJ, RC-4 might have had enough experience by the time of the playoffs to actually play significant minutes. And Morey needs to get another backup Big and not rely on someone 6'6" and slow like KJ. Roco would be a better small ball 5 anyway.

There are no underrated anything on the Sixers…just two stars,Oubre bench and Council (load of talent,if you can get one of the overpaid assistants to teach him..bring in Brad Stevens and Sam Cassell and enjoy the season.
