Did you know regardless of the situation it’s 3 points if you get caught by VOSA as it states on DVLA as the hard shoulder is a emergency lane only for emergency services unless you have broken down as a professional driver you should know this. that is, why if you’re running out of hours you should come off at the next exit find a safe place to park and then write it on your printout 👍

DVSA (VOSA) do not give points on licence. That's not their job nor mandate 😂. Having break on hard shoulder does happen to drivers sometimes. Don't be quick to judge. This is real world.

There is a way to get a break in on the tacho in stop start traffic, just stick it on break every time you stop immediately, let the traffic infront get down the road a bit and stop then quickly catch up, stop and put back onto break again straight away. Only works really if traffic is stopping around 30 seconds ish max ahead of you

All good until you get pulled into a checkpoint and tacho downloaded...... micromovement I think they call it... and you'll be in some trouble

Mate, what advice would you give someone in their mid 40s thinking about doing lessons but is nervous about it?

Hey. Age don’t mean anything. I know new drivers in there 50’s. Nerves is normal and predictable. I would say, just go for it. Like anything, once you get started, you’ll either love it or hate it. I enjoy it, but I went in with my eyes open and just learn. 👍

Im slowly coming to conclusion that its not such a great job, i feel constantly watched, i missed a turn the other day, Transport Office on the on the phone within 5 minutes, added pressure of roll cages badly loaded. Britains stores even new builds are just NOT built for HGV 2 let alone 1 . Its 2024 its actually embarrasing, one store i tripped the alarm cus i needed a piss lol toilet was over the red line.

If the transport office ring you about a wrong turn, tell them, “I’m the captain of this ship, NOT you.” Tell them to keep pressing them keyboard buttons. 😂👍
