I gotta say though, the Ice queen and the Queen of the North are gonna look SO good with the new queen equipment. Im SOO glad i bought the Queen of the North!

I dislike the fact that the frozen arrow overtakes the custom attack effect, i wish they'd add a toggle to turn it on/off

On the other hand, this is kind of a buff for the gold pass skins. I noticed the same thing about the spawned troops, but as someone who always buys the gold pass and almost never buys legendary skins, I was happy about it because now there’s basically no difference between gold pass and legendary skins

I didn't realize that the Frozen Arrow changed the arrow texture on every skin I might never use the arrow because of this.. they should have an option in the settings to toggle the arrow visual or something along those lines. Also they really should find a way to let us use the barbarian and archer skin without the puppets, maybe in the future we get troop skins and we can change every troop the way we like?

I think the events are actually f2p, some f2p player would've given up all their progress for a skin. At least now people have a choice, plus trade-off is actually a balance change, it's either flex or win.

Just some hours ago when the frozen arrow came, i think of this only for 2-3 mins that why they added that special arrow effect which was not needed at all, it might affect the valuable aspect of skins cause if we are choosing a skin it's not just for the looks, what also matters is how they animate, how thier equipment looks like.... Coc is changing that all.

I think that just to keep skins be able to always spawn custom units when you pop your ability both the queen and king should still spawn 2-4 barbarians and archers even without the puppet abilities. 2-4 archers or barbariens wont drastically change any attack but it would give the people who bought legendary skins their moneys worth.

Equipments are game mechanics. In the gaming industry, you don't make a game mechanic as a reward, because if it's not available to all players, it makes the game P2W. These are not events; these are release date. People are playing to get new released game mechanics. Smart move for supercell and at the same time a shady practice for a gaming company.

Same idea can to my mind of making every barb and archer than you can deploy custom.

They should add animations to new skins for the new equipment, and revamp the old skins to match

I think you should have the option to individually toggle on or off the freeze animation on the new equipment depending on each skin of the queen that you choose to wear, because in some default animations it looks great but on customs it looks like it wasnt worth it spending money for the skin. With that being said, I also agree that they should edit the barch skins inside the army camp depending on the skin that heroes are wearing during the attack

Its all about the money. I feel like COC stayed away from the blatant money grabbing like other games, but they are finally moving into the same territory as so many other titles. Dollars over everything else. The biggest draw for me, and me not feeling bad about spending money on pasess and gems and other stuff, was the value of what I got for free in the game. Well they started lowering that value with the game pass rework, and for me, the cashification has only accerated. Now I get less value and I feel more now that I am FORCED to spend money, as opposed to being happy to contribute to the game. Its the wrong way to make your players feel.

it sucks so much, i bought the Dark Age Queen a year ago and now she loses so much value. SC should add something new to the Legendary Skins what makes them more outstanding. Legendary Skins are now only high priced Gold skins 😭

I think if they were to add a 5th hero it should be on a pet like system were you can only bring 4 heroes and you have to choose which one to bring, this would also help with the problem of upgrading heroes in war

I don’t know why we can’t just make the barbs and archers spawn with any ability. Remove the puppet equipments and have the troops spawn when an ability activates, for balancing reasons I say we half the amt of troops spawned

I like the idea of all the barbs or archers having custom skins. Another good way to buff their respective puppets would be to give a buff to all of that troop in a radius, like how the barbarian king ability used to.

My idea is for skins to have custom effect for a particular pieces of equipment.

I think if a skin has custom attack animations then they should trump equipment animations like the frozen arrow. It's like if when the RC used her shield ability it just threw the base skin shield animation instead of her custom animation. At least give us an option to toggle which one we want to have priority.

they should make the puppets a default passive that cannot be overridden like a third passive ability and they should make it that you can toggle the effects of the arrow on and off. I ended up not using my Frozen arrow which I grinded for hours just because of the arrow

Definitely true about the ice arrow, leave it the way it was originally, just keep the slow effect. But with the default equipment, they need buffed. The Queens archers NEED to go invisible with her and then pop out right before she does. The Kings Barbs need shields or WAY more health...like make them Super Barbarians!!

recently i came back to the game, when i saw this event, i take my calculator and realised that i either take the frozen arrows or the warden skin, for me it was a extremely hard decision (since i love dragons i had to buy it, making it my very first purchase in my over 5 years old account) but if it was another skin i would just ignore it and take the hero equipment

There is one skin that gets a buff if you even call it that, from the giant gauntlet the pixel skin makes you giant like super Mario

If I'm gonna be honest, the best would be if they added all custom equipment looks Like for example Ice King earthquake boots would instead of splitting the ground, make it an ice area with some sharp ice spikes coming from the ground or smth like that

I agree with those custom troops. I mean, we bought that expensive skin so we could get a cool features. So we deserve to get a custom archer and barbarian in general, we don't need an equipment for it.

I think there is one solution to add more heroes. 1. Specify the heroes’ roles. Ex: Barbarian king(Tank), Queen(ADC), Warden(Supporter), and RC(Warrior) 2.I heard coc wants to minimize the heroes into 4, so here is the solution: Swapping between the heroes that pertain to their specified roles. Ex: let’s say the new hero is tank, then it can swap with Bavarian king, so we can keep the heroes as 4, not 5. Setting this specialized roles and swapping method will allow them to keep the heroes as 4, mediate the complexity of the game that Darian mentioned, and create more diversity in terms of strategizing your attacks.

The barbs and archers in your army having skins is great idea except for the fact that it opens the door for other troops having skins and being unrecognizable. Imagine an electro dragon skin, could people tell its an electro dragon by just looking at its appearance? I think coc should remove the puppet gear altogether and make it so the king and queen always spawn troops no matter what equipment

i'll be honest and say that the frozen equipment should've gone to the royal champion since she targets defenses. The queen doesn't utilize it that well because she attacks anything.

Even better, (this might be a long shot proposition) they should customize frozen arrows according to the Queen skin's custom arrows so that there's no compromise. The arrow will still be custom because of it's skin, but at the same time, it will still show that frozen arrow. Plus, it will make the frozen arrows way COOLer looking.

Agree with this one, especially thinking about how OP epic equipment is , if you don't have it , it's significant disadvantage to your overall attack. Hopefully supercell didn't plan to force player to buy epic equipment using money, it will be following clash royale as pay to win game 😂

Actually the choice is pretty easy if u are a casual player who doesnt play for trophy pushing or actively play for a competetice clans wars then u dont need hero equipment because default ones are good by itself and u can just get the skin but if its oter way round u can get the equipment instead of skin🤔

They should make legendaries have custom hero equipment for all skins.

Hey Seth, I’ve had something crazy happen to a couple of my coc accounts and idk who else to ask about this since u seem to be pro everything skin-related. I have had random skins appear on my accounts and don’t know where they came from. First the pixel king was all of a sudden available on my main… then just this morning a legendary ghost queen skin appeared on one of my alts. I’m stingy about gems and don’t rly care for cosmetics so am 100% sure I did not purchase these. I’m not complaining but I’m so curious if anyone else has experienced this or has an explanation? Am I being blessed by the clash gods??

The skins is really cool and all but i think i will get the arrow + ores instead. Im not gonna buy the full set of skins anyways

Easy fix: Just make it so that when we buy a legendary skin, add an option to add a new skin for ALL the troops the player has (If someone has a legendary skin, their hog riders or dragons will match that skin). I know its a lot to ask, but the developer team has increased members now so maybe they can do it! edit: sorry guys I didn't fully watch the video but still it would be really cool

More customization is making game a lot more complex .Supercell is making Clash of clans a game which is not well suitable and enjoyable for causal players .Supercell is more about focusing in on competitive players
