Delta Force all day. You don't even hear about them...but they are out there just as much as the trendy Seals.

The intro to this show is one of the few things i remember from it, maybe i should actually sit and watch it, i've heard good things

@MissChikki777 Just to clarify, the cadence itself is a USMC cadence, but the characters depicted in the television series are soldiers (Army, specifically Delta Force). It's weird why the composer chose to use a USMC cadence for an Army series, but whatever...

We need a new unit series with a new team.

Delta Force is technically run by the Army, but it recruits from everywhere, Seals, Marines, Rangers, Special Forces, etc. 75% of all its recruits though are said to have started their careers in the 75th Ranger Regiment. The full name is 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Airborne) so although it is its own unit, it seems to be considered special forces...No idea if they were the green beret or not, but I do know they usually wear no name tags or ranks, or wear civies often.

1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta was formed in November of 1977 to be our answer to terrorism. The unit is called this because Army Special Forces uses detachments. A Alpha Detachment or "A-Team" consist of twelve special forces soldiers "Green Berets". An A-Team consists of a Detachment Commander (Captain), Assistant Detachment Commander (Warrant Officer), Operations Sergeant (Master Sergeant), Intelligence Sergeant (Sergeant First Class), two Weapons Sergeants, two Communications Sergeants, two Medical Sergeants, and two Engineering Sergeants). A Bravo Detachment is a special forces company headquarters, a Charlie Detachment or C-Detachment is a special forces battalion headquarters. Four A Teams and a B Detachment form a special forces company, four companies and a C Detachment form a special forces battalion. Four battalions, a headquarters element and support element form a special forces group. Currently the US Army has the 1st Special Forces Group, 3rd Special Forces Group, 5th Special Forces Group, 7th Special Forces Group, 10th Special Forces Group, 19th Special Forces Group and the 20th Special Forces Group. These groups, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, 75th Ranger Regiment, various supporting elements form the United States Army Special Operations Command. Of the 10% that pass selection 50% fail the operator training course a six month training course divided into four phases. Much of the information of the unit's organization and size is classified but it is suspected to contain roughly 900-1,200 members with only a few hundred dedicated to operations. It is rumored that it consists of a headquarters element, support troop consisting of a intelligence detachment, medical detachment, security detachment, selection and training detachment, special development detachment, combat support detachment and a few other small sections. The unit also as a special surveillance squadron, aviation troop, signal squadron, logistics squadron and four sabre squadrons of roughly 85 operators. A sabre squadron is rumored to consists of a headquarters element and three troops, two assault and a sniper observation. The troops are reportly to consisting of a headquarters section and four teams of anywhere of 4-6 operators.

He and Mack were Rangers before joining the Unit (Delta.) At 0:14 You can see them wearing their home unit's insignia. Jonas and Charles wearing the Special Forces Tab and insignia. Mack has the 101st Airborne and I'm not sure about Bob. However I'm sure all of them are Ranger qualified.

No. Mack is a former Ranger, Delta force is not part of the Army Rangers 75th Regiment. Now all the member of the Unit are "Ranger Qualified" meaning that they have graduated Ranger school and are qualified to try out for Rangers, but you are not a ranger just from completing ranger school. You can go to Special Forces &Delta Force without being a ranger, its just that Delta Force and Special Forces like to recruit rangers. Bob Brown in this show was a calvary scout, he was never a ranger

This show is about Delta Force, an Army force. Makes little sense, as this is a Marine Corp cadence. Guess the makers of the show overlooked a detail.

@MissChikki777 He wasn't. He was a soldier. There are 1.1 million of them in the US. Marines serve in the Corps. Soldiers serve in the Army, Airmen serve in the Air Force Seamen and Sailors serve in the USN or USCG etc. etc. etc.
